Jeff Green: Old

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love his game and I just like him as a person too.

He's the first person to ever list individual madden and NBA 2ks in that halftime game where you're supposed to name as many video games as you can.

Green has been really good. Many of us we're dumbfounded when Green was shown to be in all of LeBron's best lineups and their minutes together dropped. Maybe he should be starting at PF with Love at center. He should be off the bench for TT pretty quick if not.

I still shrug my shoulders every time he shoots a 3 or tries to run a unit but I think his passing has gotten better and his defense has been a revelation. We might want him starting on KD in the finals if we're being real

OK, that's AMAZING

I almost eat my TV every time someone plays that game and doesn't name them one by one. It's the easiest fucking game.

If he keeps playing like this, it wouldn't surprise me if he came back on the minimum. Money is going to be tight, and maybe another team gives him a good offer. But he's got great chemistry with Bron and Korver, and T Lue really has been the coach that puts him in the best position to succeed.

And while he's been on good teams, this is his first realistic (somewhat) title contender. He's also been in basketball wastelands, and I can't imagine he'd take more money just to do that again (or that a bad team would give him money).

Maybe he wants one more decent pay day, I don't know. This just feels like a good spot for him.

I think Jeff is clearly worth more than the minimum. If another team offered him $5-6 million a year (which I think is a realistic number), do you think he’d stay or leave?

I am hoping we can keep him by throwing the full mini mle at him. No one else will fit that better, that said who knows. He came because of Lebron, assuming Lebron stays, he might take less in a tight market as long as that less is reasonable.

I want him to get whatever part of the mle we can give him. LeBron needs to get on the phones getting him shoe deals and whatever to keep him here. If you own a local shop, give him whatever he wants for free. Please people, we should keep him here.

I'm all for Green. He's dynamic, fast, stays in the play, and durable. He was part of that super bench group we had going but thats changed. He's good for us, I hope he stays.

Green will be replaceable next year. If he has a good postseason we definitely won’t be able to afford him.

Still makes terrible decisions and can’t rebound or defend well against guys his size. Works well against penetrating point guards though.

I think a lot of guys are in for a rude awakening this offseason as far as contracts and the money available.

Really think it will feel like a bit of a time machine moment when the numbers start coming in.

I don't see how Green would get anymore than then 5.3mil tax-MLE, which is what I would give him. 2 year deal with a player option in year 2 probably.

If LBJ stays I think Green will be who we use most/all of that on. Another good thing about Wade going back to Miami for basically good is that we won't have to give him the TPMLE to appease Bron next year, lol. Let the Heat worry about that.

I’m kind of salty that the Heat kind of get what they always wanted. They wanted to keep Wade in 2016 but (rightly) not have to pay him the ridiculous contract he was seeking, so they let him go. Now they get to keep Wade for the rest of his career and not have to pay much of anything. Win-win for them.

Yep. Greens days of fooling teams into paying him are over.
