Pretty strong disagree out of me on multiple angles.
First, Lauri is clearly not worth 4 firsts. Here is a list of players traded for 4 first round picks in the last 10 years:
Kevin Durant in 2023
James Harden in 2021
Paul George in 2019
Now think of all of the superstars that have been traded in the last 10 years. If Kawhi, AD, Kyrie, Durant once, Russ at his peak, Love at his peak, CP3 3 times, Dwight at his peak, Mitchell, Murray, etc.. didnt get 4 picks, how in the world would the Jazz get 4 out of Lauri?
Second, Lauri's value is considerably lower than Mitchell's. As in, not even in the same ball park. Mitchell is about to be named first team all NBA and a lot of metrics show him as the best offensive player in the league this season on a team that was defense first, second, and third. Lauri had a great season! I'm really happy for him and I wish we had kept him over Allen for roster fit purposes, but come on now. This is not even close.
