I really don't get the group think here. He's under team control for two more seasons. He's not going to destroy the locker room on this current team. The worst thing that can happen is he gets reinstated, he plays and he's not good. We could then trade him or just cut him. There's no harm in that at all. In fact it shouldn't be looked at any different than taking a flyer on any other risky player.
However. There is the chance (I will admit slim) that he's still good. He was still good in the limited action he saw last year. If he's still good then guess what? You just got one of the biggest steals in the league. Don't sit there and act like he wasn't a beast when he had his shit together. He was clearly our best offensive player in the time he played during last preseason. Is he probably rusty right now? maybe, but I l know for a fact that he's in tremendous shape and if he was reinstated and The Browns cut him, he would get picked up by another team in a heartbeat. He will get another shot in this league and it would be smart to take advantage of his remaining years on his deal.
