JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Agree with everything you said, but Curry has done it twice. 5.1 in 15/16 & 4.1 in the season just gone

Which honestly just shows how farfetched the original ask really was. Asking a 31 year old JR Smith to reproduce the production from deep of arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history during his peak is just unrealistic.

Wish we could have gotten him open for some more shots last night. He was clearly on fire, but they were guarding him so closely that we didn't get to really take advantage.

I hate some of his boneheaded defensive lapses and fouls, and occasional ill-advised low IQ offensive lapses. But I love the way he steps up when he has proper defensive focus. And at times he's a stone cold assassin.

JR should never have to pay for a round of gold in northeast Ohio again

No kidding. It's time we acknowledged just how great he was this postseason. He was asked to focus almost solely on defense through the first three rounds, and he did a great job on PG and DeRozan. When they needed him to pick up his scoring in the finals, he did.

For those who have watched more closely than I:

How has it worked with JR and Korver on the floor at the same time? How often did it happen?

The reason I ask is, supposed we get an upgrade at the 2; can JR and Korver both be part of the second unit? Or are they too redundant?

They would be fine. As to the question of how they worked, that depends on how much the ball is moving on offense. If all they can do is watch Kyrie or LeBron bounce it for 15-20 seconds, then it really doesn't matter who is out there with them.

But what rotations were they a part of?
- Was there a JR+bench rotation?
- Was there a Bron+JR+bench rotation?
- Was there a starters-Love+Korver rotation?

My basic question is: if they both end up coming off the bench, do they become redundant?
