Quietly had a solid game on both ends of the floor. His defense especially, he is putting a lot more effort into contesting shots as well as rotating on defense.
Gotta love a guy who can get a quiet 16 and 13

Love attacked the rim like a beast last night. It's as strong as I've ever seen him go to the hoop, reminiscent of Fat Kevin. I hope that was just an indication of what he's going to be bringing for the rest of the playoffs.

Yeah.. alot of people here ... still amazingly totally undervalue Kev.. I would dare anybody to name a better 3rd Option. His combination of Inside Outside offense, Rebounding and much better than his reputation-defense.. and his passing.. He is amazing as a 3rd Option.

No one

I'd like to be able to rely on him in Game 4.

I honestly think he's playing a solid game defensively. Offensively, he really hasn't gotten the touches to do much. Wish he could have made 1-2 more of the shots he has gotten, but he's not throwing up a ton of bricks or anything. I think he's allowed to have an off shooting night every now and then.

You don't have to pretend you actually want Kevin to do well. We all know where you stand :chuckle:

If he doesn't play well we won't win the finals. So yeah I do. And his defense was pretty average

Off shooting night? He had only 5 rebounds...

To be fair to Kevin he is not getting shots. He is down 4.5 Shots from the RS.
If we expect Performance from him he needs more that 10 Shots a game..

We gave him 14-15 in the RS and it worked beautifully.

This.

I don't remember a single post touch for him today. One of his 7 shots was a forced 3 (which is obviously on him), so he had 6 good looks at a shot. He went long stretches where he didn't touch the ball. I may be mistaken, but I don't think he got the ball, other than to transfer from one wing to the other on the perimeter, in most of the 2nd half.

He was very solid (and great down the stretch) defensively as well. There were a couple times where "his man" made an open shot, but it was because the rotation took him underneath to Jonas.

He is doing what is asked of him, and is making the most out of his chances. Has been solid defensively, and showed a nice quick first step in the Toronto series. Really wish we can give Love a chance with that 2 minute group for when Lebron sits for rest in the 1st Q/3rd Q. Something like Dwill/Korver/Shump/Love/TT, and let Love work on the elbow or post.

The Cavs didn't do a lot to get him involved, but the Raps were really sticking to him. Seemed Toronto's strategy was to make LeBron beat then from three, and he did.

Understand he didn't score because he didn't get his shots...Why did he not rebound?

The ball just didn't bounce his way. PJ Tucker out rebounded Ibaka 12-to-2 today. It doesn't make him the better rebounder, it just means in one game he got more rebounds. That's basketball.

I'd take more out of Love's rebound with a little under 4 minutes left in the game, when he grabbed Powell's missed 3 in a crowd of bodies that included Tucker and Ibaka. We were only up 8 at that point, giving up another possession to Toronto could have swung the game.
