It is a shame that Kevin has not played like his last year in Minnesota at all. Has he regressed, injured, Coaching, Lebron effect? It has to be a combo of the three, right?
It is easy to forget just how good he was, but look at this comparison with Loves numbers when he was 25 vs Cousins this year (he is 25).

Look at all the advanced metrics, win shares per 48, off and def ratings. He WAS a superstar no doubt. And they WERE NOT empty stats on a bad team bullshit that most spout off. He was efficient, period.
A lot of people hold it against him that he did not take the Wolves to the playoffs. Well, they won 40 games that year in an incredibly loaded Western Conference with this group of players:

Corey f'n Brewer played the third most minutes on that team. That tells you all you need to know about how great a season Love had that year.
And look, there is a thread somewhere in here from 3 or 4 years ago where I said I would rather have Ersan for 8 mil/year than Love at double that. For this team I still stand by that, but if you use the full capabilities for Love-he IS worth twice Ersan.
So the question is: How do we get him back to playing that way for THIS team?
I really think Ty Lou is going to make it work-his post game pressers are very refreshing compared to the past coaches we have had. And he has a plan that he is putting out there-which I think he is doing more so for the team to understand that the media will know when they go against what he is trying to accomplish. Wasn't sure at first about the hire, but really like it at this time. Can it go wrong? Sure, nothing is guaranteed.
