Griffin had the exact same pieces to work with that Koby Altman is currently working with.
And they all worked together before Griff left. Griff didn't have some secret info or secret trades that the rest of the Cavs FO was not privy too.
It should be clear by reading the articles surrounding the trade that IND-OKC had good dialog at the trade deadline in Feb and that Pritchard severely preferred to not deal with an eastern conference team.
It is not ideal that we've not yet formally restructured our FO but to think that a Butler or PG13 deal would have gotten done if Griff remained ignores the reality of what we had to offer two rebuilding teams within our own division who preferred to send their stars to the Western Conference.

Indiana wasn't sending PG here- doesn't matter if Griff was here or not. Likely same with Chicago and Butler.
