Koby Altman

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The staff in place is capable of running the team.
Indiana wasn't sending PG here- doesn't matter if Griff was here or not. Likely same with Chicago and Butler.
I hope the Cavs remember this for eternity. Those two franchises can go fuck themselves.
I've been saying this for years; way before PG13 or Butler were even born.

At this point we don't even need to hire Chauncey. We already missed out on Butler and PG. I'm sure koby can handle signing vet min guys.

Gilbert has no idea what's going on. The most important time to get star to this team and this dumbfuck said Bye to Griff and we still don't have new GM.

The real problem is that this franchise has been left with virtually no tradeable assets of any kind. Other than the big 3, virtually every other player on this roster is overpaid, and our roster leans old as well. We finally have a low first round pick next year. Woopee.

The only real reason we discuss trades as if we're really players is because we delude ourselves into thinking guys like Shumpert are more valuable than they really are.

I'm not crying a river that the guy who put us in this position is no longer here.

This doesn't sound like a man who's prepping for free agency and ready to take over a franchise.

Look like someone prepping to take a head of front office job?

(1) Griffin gone
(2) No Butler or PG
(3) FA rumors (Randolph or Calderon) that will make us older and slower.

Which is worse Chauncey, a complete novice, turning down the job or Griffin potentially being a GM only for he Knicks.

My thinking was that Griffin and Dan had "differences" relating to power and money. Griffin signing with Knicks as only a GM, would change the narrative to something relating to the roster IMO. He can easily wait for a team with more flexibility.

What a disaster.

Bullshit on the hysteria.

Does anyone seriously think Billups was going to step into the front office in his first week and have any serious impact on decisions they've been working on since the playoffs ended or before that?

Whatever CB decides, he was never going to have an impact on the draft nor the FA signing period.

And, if Griffin had serious differences of vision from the owner, AND if Griffin has been going around the league trashing DG behind his back, AND he wanted a significant raise and increased power? Then there's no way he should still be here and calling any shots.

The only screw-up I see here is in the expiration date on Griffin's contract. If I were an owner I'd have the GM's contract expire like in September or so when none of this stuff was going on.

The year is 2050 and according to sources, Chauncey Billups is still considering Cleveland Cavaliers' front office job. Chauncey has counteroffered Cavs for the 6969th time. Meanwhile Cavs fans feel, Chauncey doesn't want to take the job until Cavs player-coach LeBron James commits his long term future to the Cavs!

This is deliberate on both sides. Chauncey didn't want to come in with an expectation that he could make a difference with FA. He didn't want, nor probably Dan either, any blame for PG or Butler.
