I think the jury is still very much out on Altman. Hits on Wade and Green (with Lebron's help on both), and on Calderon (probably his call).
One thing I “disliked” about the article is it did not talk about Altman’s experience with the analytics movement. He was a basketball coach and has a deep understanding of the game. Additionally, he understands the new role of math in basketball. I love this choice, and even if LBJ leaves, have faith that Altman can do good work.Great article - it's one of the reasons i disliked one of the criticisms of Sashi. "He's young, doesn't have enough experience...." Whatever other criticisms may be valid, that one sucked. Some young guys may not be ready, but some may be prodigies that you're lucky to get.
If Alexander the Great could lead a successful invasion of the greatest empire in the world at the age of 24, I don't think 35 is too young to run a freaking basketball team.
@King Stannis
Not guilty!
Fuck this guy.
While I knew IT was garbage even at his Boston best, this is not Altman’s fault. David Griffin should still be here. Gilbert is terrible at everything he does.

One in the pink and one in the stink
or
One in the pink and one in the drink?
