We didn't go for 2 because there were 11 seconds on the clock. Even with making the 2, which was no guarentee, we were in trouble when they inbounded.

Maximus, wasn't this loss clearly Z's fault?
No, but his ass stepping out and letting BOGUT GET TWO BASKETS with no one near him didn't help...

But apparently some did not catch that... Maybe they were still drooling over LeBron.

Of course it was......he missed a wide open 57 footer at the end of the half. If he makes that uncontested shot we aren't having this discussion.

No, but his ass stepping out and letting BOGUT GET TWO BASKETS with no one near him didn't help...

Mike Brown wants Z to "show" on the pick and roll(not sure I agree with him), once Bogut rolls to the basket it's someone elses responsibility to cover.....I think Lebron was late the one time and Marshall missed him the other.

Dont you guys understand that they ALWAYS cover when Z shows, and when two of them clog the lane because Z is a robot and takes three seconds to get back under the hoop, it leaves two wide open shooting a three. Do you guys watch the games or just look at stats?

Maximus brings up a good point though, is this Z's fault or Brown's. I mean teams have been doing this the last five games....

The most anticipated matchup of the season. I've decided NOT to go to the game tonight so that I'd have the opportunity to participate in my FIRST RCF game thread.....woo hoo!!!

Keys for the Cavs:

1. Back off of Ford and make him shoot from the perimeter. He will get into the lane anyway but if his man is still in front of him, there will be no need for the interior defenders to come off of their men for easy dunks and layups.

2. Send a double at Redd and keep him in traffic. Hughes and James are pesky enough to force Redd into a couple of turnovers since he's more likely to pound the dribble without pick and pop pal Joe Smith in the lineup.

3. Play the top 7 players big minutes. If Jackson, Henderson, and Wilks see anything over 10 minutes each, the Cavs will be in big trouble. No way that these guys can keep pace with Mo Williams, Kukoc, Bell, and Gadzuric.

4. Beat the Bucks on the perimeter. The Cavs must win the three point battle. If the Cavs don't hold a significant edge here (+5), they'll likely be defeated.

Keys for the Bucks:

1. Bobby Simmons must play physical man to man defense on Lebron James in hopes of robbing him of some energy and forcing him to become a jump shooter late in the game.

2. Stay at home on the perimeter. James and Hughes will get into the paint. However, the Bucks MUST STAY AT HOME AND GAURD THE 3 POINT ARC. If the Bucks allow Damon Jones and Donyell Marshall to shoot uncontested 3's, then they deserve to lose the game.

3. TJ Ford, Mo Williams, and Charlie Bell should press Eric Snow and Damon Jones for 94 feet on every possession. Jones is a below average ball handler and Snow is one of the leagues more pedestrian point men.

4. Contain Z. Lebron will get his but Ilgauskas cannot be allowed to rain 18 footers all game. Take away Z on the pick and roll. Do not chase Snow...go to Ilgauskas.

It will be imperative for the Bucks, who don't play well when rested, to jump on the Cavaliers early and make them long for home. Coming off of a big loss on national tv and on the second half of a back to back, the Cavaliers may have some tired legs. If TJ Ford breaks out of his slump, this game could be over fast. If the Bucks don't establish a healthy lead going into the final period, the Cavaliers may be able to steal a victory behind the indominable Lebron James.

The Bucks will be motivated. Particularly Michael Redd. Redd will be looking to prove to Cleveland what they're really missing....another clutch, fourth quarter go to guy.

My Prediction:

Bucks 110
Cavaliers 103

James: 27, 5, 5
Hughes: 14, 4, 3
Ilgauskas: 13, 6
Gooden: 12, 9
Marshall: 9, 5

Redd: 32, 4, 2
Williams: 17, 6a
Ford: 16, 10a
Magliore: 10, 12
Simmons: 12, 7

How good is TJ'sDa1, the greatest computer gm in the world.

My call: 110-103
Score: 111-106

TJ we won't talk about Kukoc or Bogut if you don't talk about Bobby Simmons defense in an attempt to point out his strong points. It's funny despite the loss...Simmons makes 50 mill lebron dropped 52 points...if he made 60 and LeBron had 62 we woulda won.

Agreed if you never put forth the notion that Larry "the mime" Hughes is a better player than Michael Redd (all around or otherwise). :chuckles:

Redd: 24pts, 4assists, 2steals, 2three's

Hughes: 9pts, 1assist, 1steal, 0threes

Keep in mind that Redd still leads Hughes in rebounds for the season. While Larry "contracy year" Hughes' stats fluctuate year by year, Redd's stats have INCREASED every year in the league.

Redd >>> Hughes. Case closed.

When someone drops 52 points it's rather hard to score. You can subtract a steal from Redd that was a bogus call he reached in it was garbage. There is a discrepency between Simmons and James tonight, there is wiggle room with Hughes and Redd.

I didn't see much from Redd tonight that was any different from the usual.. He is a chucker with no defense. No drive

I have no idea why Stotts decided Redd would guard Bron better then Simmons.

Hughes should sit until his achillies is healed... The guy is limping around after the whistle blows...

I won't say that... But, I will say both teams are pretty bad...

Saying the Cavs are better then the Bucks is like saying the Jets are better then the Texans... Or the Tigers are better then the DevilRays

Neither team is going anywhere... Both are so bad defensively...

Speak for yourself buddy. When you're the league's best rebounding team (Bucks 41 total rebounds, Cavs 28) and you're 9-1 in your own conference, you can go verrrrrrry far in the playoffs. Kick in the fact that the Bucks have played statistically the TOUGHEST schedule in the ENTIRE NBA, and.....you get the picture.

Z and Magloire were like a microcosim of the Bucks and Cavs. Z got the glory with his 20pts, but Magloire ultimately won the game with his 15 rebounds.

The Bucks are scheduled to play Shaq, Wade, and the Heat on Wednesday (The hits just keep on coming). This'll be another chance for the Bucks to make a statement. The Bucks are built for eastern conference playoff success. Our best defender, Joe Smith, will eventually return to the fray. WE are in good shape my friend.

I think you should change your title from "Simmons D'N up LeBron 05" (since he obviously did no such thing) to "Im a stupid bucks fan and i know nothing"

What about losing to sacromento, utah and the lakers? that doesnt exactly spell contender. The cavs also are missed two defensive minded player in varejao and newble, and we cant wait to get them back.

It will be a diffrent story next time we play you guys.

No, you still don't get it... But, the Bucks are very poor defensively... It showed tonight... They had to key in on one guy and failed..

The Bucks can't win games easily... It is proven in the fact that they give up more points then they average..They won by 5 or 7 tonight.. I believe they have won only one game by double digits.. It will swing in the other direction, it always does...

I guess you will learn the hard way... But, it might not even take that long.. Once teams start to punish the Bucks inside, they will fold easily..

Defensive teams win in the playoffs... Neither the Buclk or Cavs will make it or win anything in the playoffs.

It's funny how you blatant Redd haters don't want to acknowledge the truth. He's one of the league's most efficient scorers, averaging over 25ppg with less than 20 shots per game.....hardly a chucker. :chuckles:

Redd was actually off tonight (9-20) but still managed to dominate Larry Hughes (I know you saw that three he pulled dead in his face). :chuckles:

And stop it man....Hughes looked fine tonight physically. He was typical shrinking violet Hughes tonight. He reminds me of the Henry Winkler in his role of coach in the WATERBOY. When the going gets tough, Larry hides behind Lebron and Z. :chuckles:
