L Cavaliers 106 Bucks 111

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If Hughes is fine, Redd had a great night shooting... He shot under 50% ..

You said you watched the game last night against the Nets... If so, then you would have saw Hughes on the bench in the 4th with the icepack on his ankle..

But if he is not healthy, he should not play... That jsut does nothing for the team..

No, you still don't get it... But, the Bucks are very poor defensively... It showed tonight... They had to key in on one guy and failed..

The Bucks can't win games easily... It is proven in the fact that they give up more points then they average..They won by 5 or 7 tonight.. I believe they have won only one game by double digits.. It will swing in the other direction, it always does...

I guess you will learn the hard way... But, it might not even take that long.. Once teams start to punish the Bucks inside, they will fold easily..

Defensive teams win in the playoffs... Neither the Buclk or Cavs will make it or win anything in the playoffs.

No LePip, you don't get it. The key for our game was not to key on Lebron (see my pregame notes). Lebron is a playmaker and will make plays with passing if he's not scoring. Lebron is a constant and the Bucks knew he would get his in any event. I said earlier in this thread that it was a good thing for the Bucks that Lebron was so hot from the outside because I knew that he'd keep shooting from the perimeter and not get enough players involved to beat the balanced Bucks. The Bucks defense was pretty good when this fact is considered.

Bucks Objectives:

Contain the deep shooting of Jones (0pts) and Marshall........CHECK
Keep Z and Gooden off of the offensive glass......................CHECK
Make sure that Snow continues to suck.............................CHECK
Make Lebron James a jump shooter...................................CHECK
Take advantage of the Cavs lack of depth.........................CHECK

In short, the Bucks wanted to keep the Cavs "role players" (Hughes, Gooden, Jones, Marshall, Snow) in check and make the team 1 or 2 dimensional. The Bucks needed to and did take advantage of their better balance and depth.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. BUCKS WIN.

EXCUSE ME?!?

Hughes was on the bench because he was getting MURDERED by Vince Carter and Eric Snow was a better defensive option.

It's a common practice for a player to over-accentuate a minimal or contrived injury when you're getting embarressed in front of Jay-Z and Beyonce on national TV. Hughes is fine....no more hurt than any Buck with a nagging injury (Simmons...ankle, Redd...thigh contusion, Bogut...broken nose, ect., ect.).

Hughes is fine. If he wasn't physically ready to play, the coach would have left him home to get ready for the upcoming homestand. Don't bring any weak excuses up in this humpty bumpty. Just admit that my guys showed up and Hughes didn't. Lebron_and_Who/Where_Is_He???_05. :chuckles:

What about losing to sacromento, utah and the lakers? that doesnt exactly spell contender. The cavs also are missed two defensive minded player in varejao and newble, and we cant wait to get them back.

It will be a diffrent story next time we play you guys.

What's your point?

Newsflash:

In order for the Bucks to have success in the eastern conference playoffs, they have to prove that they can beat...

Cleveland............DONE
Indiana...............DONE
Miami.................DONE
New Jersey.........DONE
Philadelphia.........DONE x3
Washington.........DONE

...the Bucks have the East's best record against the conference at 9-1.

So since we won't have to play Utah, Sacramento, and the Lakers in the eastern conference playoffs, I won't concern myself with those defeats. Coincidently, didn't the Bucks beat two Western Playoff teams in Dallas and Golden State? Of course they did.

Find your answers there... I did.

I can honestly say the Cavs gave this game away... They beat themselves and if no one can see that, that is on them.. This is the same Bucks team that lost to the Lakers on their home floor the other night badly...

TJ FORD shoots 30 % from 3 not 100 % (CAVS FAULT)

DREW GOODEN 5 SHOTS

JONES 0 SHOTS

HUGHES 8 SHOTS

MARSHALL 8 SHOTS

HENDERSON 0 SHOTS

WILKS 1 SHOT

SNOW 4 SHOTS

CAVS lose this game... They didn't gift wrap it like the Pacers, but they were handing out gift certificates for a free victory.

The rebounds hurt.. But the Bucks lack of defense should have been exploited by more players other then LeBron and Z..

The Bucks exploited the Cavs poor defense evenly...

And No, you still don't get it... My point was, the Bucks "if" they make the playoffs, will not go anywhere...

They are not Phoneix east by any stretch offensively (too many garbage buckets from the inside), but they are Phoneix east defensively.. Sad part is, Cavs are Hornets east defensively.

The Bucks win, I will man up.... But if you think this is quality basketball, your expectations were lower then I thought...

They won this game by 5 points... With every other Cavalier playing like a Raptor other then "Z"...

I wil ltell you this... If the Cavs win their home game like this, I invite you to bring this up, I will also tell you then how badly the Cavs played in victory...

No SUGAR COATING POLICY.

They beat indiana on a prayer, miami without shaq and probably should be 2-1 against phily.

It doesnt matter if you are only caring about east teams for the playoffs. If you cant beat bad teams like the lakers, the jazz and sacto then you arent a good team.

Bottom line Cavs>bucks.

Agreed if you never put forth the notion that Larry "the mime" Hughes is a better player than Michael Redd (all around or otherwise). :chuckles:

Redd: 24pts, 4assists, 2steals, 2three's

Hughes: 9pts, 1assist, 1steal, 0threes

Keep in mind that Redd still leads Hughes in rebounds for the season. While Larry "contracy year" Hughes' stats fluctuate year by year, Redd's stats have INCREASED every year in the league.

Redd >>> Hughes. Case closed.

It was hard for Larry to get into the groove when his partner is taking all the shots.

Good game
Cavs need better coach

I think Brown is a good, defensive minded coach. The problem is, he's trying to bake an apple pie with a clutch of bananas. :chuckles:

Here are the top 5 reasons why you can't blame Mike Brown:

5. There is a 5 second delay between Gooden's thoughts and actions.
4. Larry Houdini moonlights as a mime on the court and in the lockeroom.
3. Luke Jackson and Sasha Pavlovic thought they were signing up for volleyball.
2. Amon Jones.
1. Slothzunas Ilkoala is slowly mutating into Frankenstein. He'll soon have two bolts in his neck to match the 12 in his feet. The transformation will be complete when Slothzunas becomes as fast as Mr. Frankenstein.

And yes, many (not all) of you asked for this. :chuckles:

Good luck to the Real-isticCavfans.

How good is TJ'sDa1, the greatest computer gm in the world.

My call: 110-103
Score: 111-106

"1. Back off of Ford and make him shoot from the perimeter. He will get into the lane anyway but if his man is still in front of him, there will be no need for the interior defenders to come off of their men for easy dunks and layups."

Not that good

Point taken Rim. While the Cavs did execute the backing off of Ford portion of my forcast, I should have weighed in more heavily the fact that EVERYONE scores on the Cavs defense. :chuckles:

My pregame strategy was sound for both teams. The better team executed and won the game.

You'd be best served to let this thread die. I've got too much amo for any would be wise guys. You have a repreive coming against the Hawks. Good luck.

TJ has conquered this game thread and fulfilled his prophecy. It's over. End of story.

Looks like the better team won this game. The Cavs could have won if they didnt blow their lead and had someone besides James and Z step up. These 2 were all we had going really. If we could get a game from Larry it would help. He's supposed to be LBJs right hand man. Redd clearly outperformed Larry tonite. Larry is a bricklayer, and if he could have stepped up and played better wed have won.

For the Bucks 5 players in double digit scoring. Nice balanced TEAM attack. The LeBron/Z duo cant do it by themselves. Larry needs to start playing better, and we need more bench support, or there will be many other losses like this.

Nice win for the Bucks TJsDa1, the best TEAM won. We will get our revenge in TWO wins over the Bucks in early January. However there is a great disturbance in the Cavalier Force........

Way to stand up and take it like a man HPD. I respect that. No excuses.

It's funny how everyone that called me crazy and attempted to misportray me for my opinions have suddenly gone silent. :chuckles:
