LeBron being LeBron

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
BRON BRON is a great con artist. That move he pulled at the ASG is one of the reasons why I never thought he would play for the HEAT.

Yet, again that was one of BRON BRON's moves to trick us. We are all a bunch of suckers

And the Finals MVP goes to: Dwyane Wade

It takes a lot more than putting up nice stats to truly be a great player, a winner and a leader.

It doesn't matter what we think though, if the Heat win and LeBron puts up 25/9/9 in the finals while Wade puts up 27/5/5 then LeBron was the better player and thus the leader of the team. Stats do matter when it comes to winning the finals MVP.

If those were the stats, it wouldn't necessarily follow that LeBron would be perceived as the better player and thus the leader of the team. Much would depend on who played well in clutch situations and who brought the intangibles, etc.

Again, it would likely mean that they split the recognition, which would mean he wouldn't reach his full potential in terms of legacy.

Now if he blows Wade's numbers away that might be a different story. But that's unlikely to happen, at least early on.

Even when LeBron doesn't try (Game 6 agaisnt Boston) he can still put up rediculous numbers. It is almost like he is toying with his prey, just look at him dancing during the Chicago game when Drew was guarding him. The kid is phenominal and just because he no longer doesn't play for us doesn't mean he is going to suddenly regress and becomes inferior to Wade when for at least 3 years he has been FAR superior to Wade. It may be Wades team now in the off season, but during the season and playoffs make no mistake LeBron will be the best player on the team and he will win FMVP if the cHeat win the chip.

Statistically, he is the best player. Wade really is up there though as well. The fact is we just don't know how they will mesh, in terms of their roles. In any case, it won't be clear cut who the leader of the team, especially when the media already considers this Wade's team.

Perception is going to be reality, and that won't change based on a couple more assists and rebounds.

It is Wades team no questions asked. Grant it Lebron is a better player but for it to be Lebrons team the rest of the team must give him that right. Bron has put up some great numbers and done great things as an individual, but as we know very well having an individual doesnt win you a championship. Since D-Wade has been there and won a ship' then how could it possibly be Bron's team.

I also didnt even go into what a douche Bron was this summer.... Even though the Heat are his teammates you have to believe that most didnt like how he went about it.

So the Cavs last year were Shaq's team?

DWade as the number 1 guy in Miami hasn't worked very well the past few years. In fact his teams have been markedly worse than Lebron's. So what's going on there?

Your logic won't work. There's too many contradictions in it to get it to warp right. If the Heat win and Lebron is the Finals and regular season MVP--is that still Wade's team?

LeBron has 0 chance of being the regular season MVP after what happened this summer and plenty of national media outlets have as much as said that same thing, I'd bet my house on it actually.

Regardless, I see you here again comparing apples to oranges with Shaq...since when did Shaq lead the Cavaliers to a championship as the best player and unquestioned finals MVP? By the way, if Shaq was in his prime(like Wade is), it WOULD have been HIS TEAM.

No matter how good LeBron is, Miami is Dwade's house. He is the cornerstone of the franchise and remains to be the face of that organization.

His chances might be reduced, but if he averages a triple double and the team wins 70 games while blowing out the rest of the league...he's going to get the MVP and people will forget all about the bad things they said about him in the summer...just like they did with Kobe and the rape trial.

Top 3 most popular athletes in America are Tiger Woods, Kobe, and A-Rod. if Lebron wins and puts up numbers, he'll be respected. that's how america works.

We don't give a fuck about character.

First, it took more than 10 months for that to take effect and again, here you go comparing apples and oranges.

Regardless of winning and numbers, voters look to give new blood the MVP all the time, proven by Jordan in the 90's. If OKC wins more than 50 games and Durant continues to put up monster numbers, it's going to take a 30 point triple double, 80 wins, and saving 5 kids from a burning building on his way to the Miami game for LeBron to beat out Durant for the MVP.

It's all semantics, who cares? It's the same situation as when KG joined. Sure, it was "Pierce's team", and while it may have been reported that way, most people with half a brain and some knowledge knew KG was the best player.

And yet KG is and never will be looked at the same way he would have if he delivered in Minnesota, not to mention, it's a bad comparison because while still a great player, Garnett was no longer at his peak when the trade occurred and he never treated Minnesota poorly in his time there, and when he left, it was something he had a hard time agreeing to anyways.

And, by the way, Paul Pierce was their best player when it mattered, in the playoffs, he outplayed LeBron in that series and became the finals MVP.

Right, but that's a whole different discussion, I'm talking strictly about whose team it'll be (or who the best player will be), not so much about his legacy, which I could not care any less about.
