LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
RCF about to pop off tonight, but this is rather simple. If LeBron stop fucking around, this team will win games. If he would just be a neutral player we would win some of these games. But, for several games now, he has been the worst player on the court, sabotaging any chance this team has at a win. Kyrie tried his absolute hardest to will this team to a win and LeBron just said "nope."

He starts the game playing no defense of any kind and the team follows suit. And the team proceeds to get destroyed.

Hopefully LeBron will tell us when he decides to show up so we can make sure to tune out until then.

Completely agree with you regarding LeBron being a key reason in the last few losses.

But the defense is not on him though. Our perimeter defending is pants as we let opposition ball handler walk past our perimeter players at ease and then thanks to having an interior defense than is more penetrable than Lisa Ann's vagina, opposition can score at will.

We keep switching and in terms of help-defense, we either over-help or just don't help at all. That is on the Ty, Longabardi and the coaching staff to sort it out. But also our starters like Kyrie, Love and TT.

Why is LeBron playing 44 minutes in this game?

Because our bench is ass? :dunno:

Another 40+ minute game for our franchise player, the bench shouldn't be this damn terrible.

Not saying the bench isn't terrible, but in this game if LeBron and the rest of the starters played with the same intensity in the 1st quarter that they did in the 4th quarter, they wouldn't have needed to play in the 4th quarter and he'd have played 30some minutes.

The most perplexing thing is the hard-hedging and sometimes even trapping. The Cavs just don't have the personnel to play that way. And I'm not sure why they are over the last few weeks.

Bingo. People need to stop whining about T Lue. This is a player effort problem. Pretty damn clear.

That's been the problem. Way too much screwing around. If they'd play the way they can play consistently, they'd have a lot of short nights. Instead they end up in games like this because they routinely take off huge chunks of the game.

Part of me wonders if this is Lebron's passive-aggressive way of saying "get me a backup PG" and "fire the defensive coach." I'm joking... I think.

I think it's a combo of several things:

1) player effort in the doldrums of the regular season
2) lack of familiarity/practice time to really use Korver properly (Lue has talked about wanting to implement those old Ray Allen sets from Boston)
3) recent decision to hard hedge and even trap on a lot of possessions
4) major holes on the roster: no rim protector, no backup point guard, and no wing besides James and old man Jefferson to guard larger wings
5) poor play by James (turnover issues and horrible transition defense), Love (shooting like garbage since his stomach virus), and Kyrie (who before tonight had not really found his shot and had become a bit of a back hole)
6) total regression by the supporting cast from Liggins to Frye to Jefferson (who basically shouldn't play at all if not for number 3)

Lebron racking up minutes and it shows late in games - he is actually leading the league in minutes per game which is insane. When he starts turning it over and screwing up drives down the stretch you know he is gassed.

At this point, TOR is so middling we can coast to the 1 seed and we aren't catching GS, so get his minutes down. We are taking the L's anyways.

Obviously incorrect since the sheer presence of Lebron makes him the best Cav in a game almost without exceptions, as seen before already. Just a terribly flawed cast around him (as pretty much throughout his career) that does him no favours and forces him to excel in all areas of the game.

No. All of it. No.

No. All of it. No.

Yes. Just yes. Just because LeBron is very possibly the GOAT/BOAT and moving him towards 4 in the playoffs will destroy worlds and give the Cavs an outside chance for the title doesn't change the fact that the construction of this team is terribly flawed/imperfect/whatever you want to call it, no matter if it's pre/regular/postseason.

In your opinion, what's the ideal roster around LeBron?

Your first sentence isn't based in any reality in existence. "His sheer presence makes him the best Cavs player on the court." Besides being overly sycophantic, it isn't close to true. Did you watch the game tonight? He wasn't in Kyrie Irvings stratosphere. And that was the real, tangible LeBron. Not just his "presence."

And that's been happening more and more recently. He isn't the best Cavs player every single night by merely existing, and his shitty play tonight cost the team.
