LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The thing is I still question whether or not Cleveland is a desired location for star free agents. Even with LeBron here it seems that Cleveland is consistently overlooked.

Yes. That is 100% correct.

In LA, he would have guys knocking the door down.

Kevin Love? Kyrie Irving? They were in no rush to desert LeBron and leave Cleveland. Would have been pursued at the Max by almost all NBA teams if they'd have chosen to hit the market.

Because we've already had Kyrie and Love on Max Deals the entire time LeBron has been back, we have not had the opportunity to pursue a star Free Agent

Need to ship Kevin Love for Paul George at next year's trade deadline just in case. I don't see Lebron leaving if George is signed to an extension.

OKC isn't doing that ...They will be in the 4th or 5th spot ...

Apparently he won best NBA player at the ESPYs, I dvr'd it and fast forwarded thru it, didn't see anything. He wasn't there, he was at the LAL summer league game apparently according to social media.

The ESPN headline makes it seem that LeBron travelled to Vegas just to see Lonzo play...but the article itself contains the following blurb:

"James, who was in town to work out and mentor some of the young Cavaliers players on Cleveland's summer league team and visit former Cavs assistant and current Sixers summer league coach Lloyd Pierce, was complimentary of Ball's play."

Who want to get paid yes. I give you the life style but really. I heard even Baseball players do not give a fuck where they party. Living and having fun somewhere are two different things and in LeBrons case he is happy here. This is a bullshit thing to say as well as it rides the hype machine. We know he could leave for there but for fucks sake lets worry about this season and maybe another title first. I am sick of this media based bullshit leaking in here when we know it is all bullshit. Give it up already, why are we all so stuck up here anymore. I am going back to drunk posting it was better that way...

The Cavs went over the cap the moment LeBron came back and they traded for Kevin Love.

There has been no star free agents to pursue.

I'll say this again..if Lebron decides to leave after next season, he leaves..can't get into a funk worrying about it.
The FO just needs to prepare if he does and learn from their mistakes after he left the first time.
That means doing the draft the right way and getting the best players possible.
Not getting FA's who have no value and no talent .

In theory that should have been enough for multiple titles. 2015 was ours for the taking.

No one saw the Durant to GSW domino. That shifted history away from our favor.

If Durant doesnt go to GSW I cant find one team that would have beaten us in 7 games, even with our shit defense.

If he wants to go it'll suck but just get us one more before you go!

Are you implying that very young multi-millionaires don't view Cleveland as a destination city? Say it ain't so :chuckle:

The thing the Cavs are already looking at is what type of assets they can get back in a sign and trade. The shitty thing is the assets the Lakers have don't really work well with what we already have.

Lonzo Ball ain't Kyrie. Julius Randle ain't Kevin Love. Nice assets but they don't really move the needle for us. If Cavs can do a sign and trade where we can address holes, the end game should
be to take the loss of LeBron at SF and replace him with an upgrade at multiple positions.

They're already exploring it but it gets complicated because 3rd teams would need to be involved.

Is this insider knowledge you are claiming to have (I know you mentioned having a friend in the building before) or is this just your own speculation?

I just don't see how the cavs get really any better than they are now. We have no assets to trade other than the big three, and possibly TT. IF LeBron's not going to be winning any more titles here, what keeps him from going to the western conference? No titles here, no titles there - what's the difference? Maybe being the guy who's gone to 10 straight finals, but still only won 3?
