I thought Lebron did try vs the Pacers and they fell apart during the game.

This team and Lebron are in a really cold place right now.

I disagree. A chill mode game from LeBron means he does not care and not just the season. He might have his mind entirely elsewhere. It's why keeping the pick might make sense. I'm 50/50 on him returning. If he comes out not caring, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else I'd say 60/40 gone. If he feels like this team is hopeless regardless... Well that would explain his play of recent. To me this isn't his usual January going through the motions. He's been looking like he's got one foot out the door.

I really think the loss to the Curry-less Warriors deflated our team. We kept saying our bench was great, that we were deeper than last year etc. and I expected us to win on Christmas.

Lebron has mopped the floor with KD in years past and without Curry that day, MVP vs MVP, I always expect Lebron to come out on top...but he got his ass handed to him. People saying he didn’t care...Bull. Our record was still pretty close to theirs at that point and was a statement game that could’ve catapulted Lebron further ahead in the MVP rankings this year (something he seemed to be pushing for very hard)...but Kd balled out and Lebron came up short.

I feel that this team is just trotting along now and whatever happens, happens.

They were trending in the wrong direction before that game. Defense was starting to bleed. They barely beat the Lakers, Jazz and Wizards. Would have gotten crushed in Milwaukee if not for that D Wade comeback. Barely held off the Bulls.

There were warning signs, but they were winning, so people ignored them.

Folks, Lue is a lacking coach, TT and JR have regressed from their modest heights, the D stinks, etc. But in 40 years of watching the NBA, I've just never seen a greater sense of futility. This GS team is so much better than any other team that there's really no point in playing the next 2 years unless Durant or two of their other 3 key guys gets hurt. If the latter happens I'll watch again, but short of that it's sheer futility. GS coasted most of the game.

This is about like Olajuwon going to the '85 Lakers or something. It's taken all the fun out of the league.

Literally ruined the NBA. Durant can fucking sit on his soft cowardly beta ass for a vast majority of a fourth quarter while LeBron exerts more energy just to keep the team competitive against Golden State, then Durant can stroll in and make a couple easy jumpers or threes and Golden State runs away and these idiot commentators, analysts, writers etc fawn over him and declare him the new King of the NBA. It's so fucking disrespectful to LeBron and what he's done for the league and what he's meant to the sport. Fuck Durant for ruining LeBron's hard earned legacy. Fucking fraud! LeBron has to protect the ball against the Warriors better. If he turns it over more than 4 times he's really putting a dent in our chances to win a game. They absolutely feast off of turnovers offensively. Most of Bron's turnovers aren't even forced. He's throwing bad passes for no reason a lot of the time.

Nope. Easy to match toe to toe when you are playing with 2 of the best shooters in NBA history and a matchup nightmare at the 4 in Green who also can hit threes. It's a fucking cakewalk for him. Literally no heavy lifting. At all. Which is what he wanted. He got it and now the NBA is pointless and Durant's legacy should be forfeited as well, but instead they try to sell his "good guy" team first persona to camoufage his very real emotional deficiencies and beta male mental fragility.

One player has pretty average spacing to work with (completely ignoring Smith and Crowder), the other has by far the best spacing ever in the history of the sport. Your opinion on the effect that has?

It doesn't matter how much easier things are for him if he's consistently putting up 30+, grabbing boards, getting assists and being a dominant rim protector.

Durant's averages GO UP against the Cavs. Thats a problem.

It'd be one thing if he was just averaging like 24/25 points against us.

NO ONE thought KD would be this dominant against us.

I feel like alot of the bad passes come off from LeBron not moving. He doesn't seem to slash to create as much anymore. He stands and waits for the man to come open. Jumping into passing lanes are easy to predict when the passer isn't moving and the shooters barely move too.

LeBron played well off the ball in the first half. Hope with IT off minutes restriction and Rose playing backup PG, they can keep the pace and movement going.
