LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's not pretend the Cavs have not been a cluster fuck since LeBron came back.

GM's and coaches fired, cryptic messages all over, annoymous players bitching, it goes on and on
I ll take it everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. 3 trips to the finals and one ring. Cavs have been in existence since 1970 - how many times Outside Of Lebron have they made it to the conference finals.

Agreed. There's a lot of hindsight 20/20 going on.

Are they the best deals? No. But they certainly aren't our main problem, either.

The problem with these is not that we mess up some of these hindsight deals, as every GM does, but that we mess up more of them than GS, and for that matter we're also probably messing up more deals than Boston, despite their having overpaid Horford, and for this season having to carry deadweight on Hayward.

Of course Curry never exceeding a $18MM cap hold until this season is huge - even as Dubs fans try to downplay it as Myers' "skill" and it not being much more a bargain that Harden until recently, etc - but practically the only contact they've had that could be considered deadweight in their run is Mr. Caroline Wozniacki, who they were able to unload. Right now Shump/JR/Tristdashian are producing at outside-of-rotation levels at top-option salaries.

Fortunately we've been able to make up for it a bit with Wade overperforming his salary and, whatever level he performs, DRose costing almost nothing - other than a potentially valuable roster spot.

The league can be hopeful, as Curry will, ironically, likely start being an albatross-ish contract relatively soon, as nearly a 30-year-old with injury history and D limitations, and Iggy is already an albatross.

Welcome to Cleveland. We won a championship. Totally worth it.

Grow up.

Whoa hold on now, I'm not saying I'm not happy we won the title that year, just pointing out that it's been a shit show pretty much the whole way.a

Yep. And it's still way better than anything else in Cleveland. When it's gone we'll all look back on the "glory years."

I'm cool with it. We're gonna get this ship headed in the right direction, and then make another run in the playoffs.

I have no doubts in the long term, but the short term is frustrating as hell. Welcome to the midwest.

I mean, I'm an optimist and all, but... whoa, Nelly!

I think our whole organisation would change if lebron came out and committed. If he comits early, it gives I.T confidence to work extremely hard and build on the championship journey, also gives perspective recruits alot more to think about knowing they have lebron james around.

All said and done Kyrie should be a Cav, and this Primadonna lebron should of been the one who got dealt

I think Lebron will leave at the end of the year because whenever a team gets in over their head with bad contracts and not much wiggle room to improve, he leaves. Whenever a team gets a little fuzzy on whether they should be going for broke or not, he leaves.

The good news is, whenever he leaves, the Cavs seem to end up with the 1st overall pick shortly thereafter, so let's hope that trend continues if he does. LOL.

Of course I hope I'm completely wrong.

1 time does not a trend make.

Nobody seems to consider what is a very likely scenario... that there is a pretty good chance there won't be any player on the trade market who is worth the Nets pick. There is a LOT of built in uncertainty as so much can change between the trade deadline on Feb. 8th and the draft lottery on May 15th.

If the right player isn't available then there is a very strong case to be made that keeping the pick is in Lebron's best long term interest if he sticks around. As many have pointed out, once the pick is slotted after the lottery it then has tangible value instead of projected value.

Surely Lebron knows that the pick will be worth a lot more just before the draft than it will be at the trade deadline no matter how you slice it, unless the right player in terms of talent and fit is available.
