Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was just typing this up when I saw your post. With the rumors last night of Cavs reportedly working with Memphis and offering a pick + Thompson + a role player (not including Love), I could see something like this. Obviously, as you mentioned, likely depends on who's there at #4.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yd8p467k

CLE out: #8, Thompson, Hill, Osman
CLE in: Kawhi, Parsons

SA out: Kawhi
SA in: #4, Thompson, Cedi

MEM out: #4, Parsons
MEM in: #8, Hill

If we have Parson's bad contract, I would try to keep Cedi. We need the cheap rookie contract to offset Parsons contract. I fully expect Parsons to be the end of the rotation or on the bench for us.

I could also see Memphis taking TT or Korver/Clarkson instead of Hill. They really don't have any depth and Clarkson or TT gives them a longer term piece than Hill. Spurs might want Hill since Pop loves him. I also could see the Spurs taking Korver or Zizic instead of Cedi.

I know at this point literally everything is speculation but goddamn would it be awesome seeing Kawhi run with Bron in Cleveland, jesus . . .

I'll hop in my Toyota and drive Pau to Cleveland myself....

Has anyone reliable mentioned the Cavs and Memphis is trade talks?

Hurts to lose Cedi but I would be all over this deal as it allows us to retain Love. If the Spurs like who is available at #4, really everyone gets what they want.

The only questionable aspect is Thompson, the Spurs might not want him. Maybe if they can dump some of their garbage on us they would go for it.

thompson is the low profile, high IQ type of guy Pop loves

So Love for Parsons + 4?

Interesting. That basically tells you they're ready to go in full-rebuild mode and are valuing picks/young studs over ready-made star players (Kyrie, Hayward, etc.). We'd prolly have to take back Gasol's contract as well.

So you mean #4 for Kemba & Williams Or #8 for Kemba & Williams?

How about...

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yawy4z99

CLE out: Smith, Clarkson, Cedi, Hill, TT, Love, #8, 2021 1st (top 4 protected)
CLE in: Parsons, Batum, Gasol, Williams, Kemba, Kawhi

SA out: Kawhi, Gasol, #18 pick
SA in: Smith, Clarkson, Cedi, #4 pick, #8 pick

CHA out: Kemba, Williams, Batum
CHA in: Hill, Tristan, #18 pick

MEM out: Parsons, #4 pick
MEM in: Love, CLE 2021 1st (top 4 protected)

New look Roster!

Kemba
Batum, Hood, Korver
Kawhi, Parsons
James, Williams, Green
Nance, Gasol, Zizic

We are NOT taking both Parsons and Batum, let alone Gasol in addition to both. This roster would have ~$170 million in salary for 2018-2019 and ~$200 million in luxury taxes on top of that. Not happening.

How about 8th pick, Love and role player for Kawhi? Spurs want more than Love and 8th pick I think.
