LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think it is pretty clear Lebron realized that his path to 8 straight Finals in the East was in serious jeopardy and decided to bounce. I expect Kawhi or KD to join him next summer.

I don't think any star is tying themselves to the Lakers or LeBron long term. At his age, I could seen whoever he gets to join him flip the script and only sign 1&1 deals. I just don't see Kawhi taking a short term contract and I think he will want to be the man so he can finally pull in the endorsement deals. If he gets alot of endorsement deals in Toronto, I bet he stays there.

I could see KD doing it on a 1 and 1 but I'm not sure he leaves Golden State.

I agree; even now the Lakers/LBJ are most likely heavily planning to acquire another big name at the deadline or next summer.

He isn't going to play future seasons on a team full of rooks or mostly washed up vets; though he's done that before.

Lmao we really gonna compare the Warriors to this Lakers team???

Josh Hart and Javale McGee were their best players outside of LBJ today. Lol. I mean Rondo was alright too but he really is a poor fit with Bron...Bron needs shooters.

His point is still.good.

Like half the takes are "will never win anything" after 1 game.

Its a little crazy to chalk up the next 3 seasons as decided after seeing one basketball game.

My point with the Lakers is, is Lebron still going to be Lebron at age 36 in year 3 of that deal with his mileage? Hes a freak but people never seem to factor in his age with these predictions.

This is the first regular season game for the Lakers team - I expect them to play better, I expect them to make some mid season moves, I expect the referees to help make sure that the Lakers make it to the playoffs. It will happen, for sure.

Espn is actually covering this shit Lakers team tonight rather than college football. Cant wait to see all these fake ass Laker celeb fans tonight. Jack Nicholsons old crinkly ass will be back by the bench. Michelle Beadle will be in the locker room giving Lebron a blowjob with Rachel Nichols. Great times in LA tonight. Cant wait.

Funny thing is LeBron could’ve taken less money to play along side CP3 and Harden and actually win some more rings before he retires, instead he joined this meme team ran by a man who thinks 3PT shooting is not important as long as you have some “playmakers”.

Magic Johnson was a great player but he doesn’t understand shit about modern basketball or how to construct a team, articles have been published about the stupid nonsensical shit he said about basketball over the years, pointing out how unqualified and unequipped he is to run a professional team.

The plus side of LeBron wasting his remaining NBA years on the shitty Lakers is it will be highly entertaining, you know the amount of drama will rival the most successful soap operas ever made

I could be very wrong but I don't think I've seen a worse time to cover/promote an NBA game than a Saturday night in the fall. Sunday Afternoon in the fall maybe?

If this was some random Wednesday night? I get it. But my TV is pretty much reserved for CFB from 11 am until around 2 AM (whenever the rando Pac 10/WAC/Hawai'i game ends).

The whole thing was just..awkward. At least the TNT "Homecoming" thing was scheduled on a weeknight.

The lone silver lining about not being a playoff team for a while? No more Breen/Van Gundy/Jackson Cavs telecasts.

Lakers bench ;)

Oh it was grotesque. Another silver lining is the Lakers lost. Plus, the game was marred by a big nasty brawl. I agree about Breen. That was tough to suffer through last night. I just hung on to see if LA lost....and they did!
