Gonna theorize something here.

If...the NBA, those that cover the league and those that play in it had their choice? I imagine it would look something like this:

-Boston Celtics
-New York Knicks
-New York Nets
-Washington Wizards
-Philadelphia 76ers
-Miami Heat

-New Orleans Pelicans
-Houston Rockets
-Dallas Mavericks
-San Antonio Spurs (reluctantly)
-Atlanta Hawks
-Chicago Bulls

-Los Angeles Lakers
-Los Angeles Clippers
-Golden State Warriors
-Seattle Supersonics
-Las Vegas Franchise
-Denver Nuggets

There ya go. All their presumed favorite vacation spots, hometowns and such covered.

But if he does it at a discounted price to keep GS flexible with the cap its different than LeBron doing it just so Gilbert feels he has to suck him off every day to keep him


Im all for LeBron being petty to Dan because Dan messed up big with that dumbass letter. But I just hope it aint hurting the team

I agree. LeBron has nobody else to blame but himself as he keeps missing out on rings. He wants max contracts for himself and his boys...well there is no such thing as a free lunch. So regardless of how much Gilbert is willing to go over the cap and in Tax Hell to retain our players, we are still strapped and can't sign FA, OR....trade the pieces that we have.

Some will argue that the contracts that TT, Shump, and JR have will be ok in a year or two..but that doesn't change the fact that we are stuck.

I really hope we can make some sort of move for maybe Mello involving Shump, and maybe TT.

Errrm, The reason LeBron signs those 1+1 deals is to keep pressure on Dan Gilbert to continue spending.

Its pretty evident he hates Gilbert but lets not kid ourselves. He cares more about his legacy, which is to win Championships, more than anything other than his family and close friends. So if he has to swallow his ego and continue working with a man he dislikes, he would do so, provided it puts him in a great position to win championships.

what did he do to himself? he won a title with the team he "constructed"!

the only reason they're "stuck" and look doomed is because KD ruined the league. no one is competing with that team and no one could have possibly structured their team to compete in the present day whilst also being flexible enough to still compete when one of the greatest talents in league history decides to be a bitch and guarantee himself titles

People keep bitching about this, but I don't see who else we would have signed had we gotten better deals from both. We'd still be capped, just not in the crazy luxury range.

Just to top off, yes, we did pay his boys. And that's why he came here. That's what it costs to have him.

And if it cost us literally no one, then.. It doesn't really matter.

Those same contracts would be easier to move. If Tristan was paid like 13 million a year, his value might be a good deal higher.

But I'm not gonna bemoan it. We had a championship team that would have been good enough to win for a few years in a row (not saying we would have won every year) and then Durant went to Golden State.

What will cause me to bitch is if he leaves while we still have Tristan and JR on the roster with their contracts.

You can't tell me Gilbert wouldn't do what he wants if he signed a 5 year deal

It's 2017 even if you read under contract if you want out you can get out as a player.
 
Is lebron allowed to sign an extension right now if he wanted to or does he have to wait till next summer to decline or accept his PO first?

No shit. How in the hell can a Cleveland fan have a sense of entitlement? How? This team that James has allegedly put together just went to three straight Finals, winning the first championship in over a half a century for the fans of Cleveland and we have people bitching? It makes no sense. I don't know. Maybe, it's my fault to keep expecting all people to have the ability to use reason. I will always be disappointed.
