Taking a cue from the other sections of this board, I present you the Guardians edition. Because they fucking suck right now. The offense sucks and has no power. Pitching is meh outside the rookies. What’s going on with Bieber? His swinging strike rate is AWFUL. Clase’s velocity is down big time. Dude was topping out at 97.

Re: Rosario. I don't mind him on the team, but get him the hell out of the #2 hole and don't play him every day against RHP.

Rosario now leads ALL of MLB in negative WPA. He has actively helped his team lose more from the offensive side than anyone else in baseball.

Josh Naylor was a flash in a pan. Don’t think he’s an every day MLB player ever.

Time to trade Bieber for a massive return was likely last offseason. I think he’ll be fine long term but he’s going to continue to face questions with regular rough starts to seasons.

I’m pleasantly surprised that Kwan continues to hit. I thought he may be a one year wonder.

Unhinged rants -
1 -- 3 catchers on the roster is akin to having 2 punters. This is a Berea Clownshow type of roster management.
2 -- Letting bench players rot. Owen-2 Miller had many more opportunities than Arias ever did. Arias needs to be sent down to regain his mojo. Reminds me of how the Guards mismanaged Gimenez in 2021.
3 -- For all of the reverence given to the catching position, it is stunning how poor the depth is inside the system and how poor the talent is at the big league level. Tito/FO get all teary eyed talking about the importance of the position, but then we have a big league catcher throwing lasers into the side of the pitcher's mound. No, the ball didn't slip. Zuny choked.
4 -- The tepid approach to Rosorry-O. I love watching that guy run the bases. Happens about once a week. Everything else I cannot stand. The stone hands, the limited range, the poor ABs. The 5th best defensive SS in the system should not be starting every day for this team.
5 -- the PR-wing of the state controlled media. Don't call the sky orange when we damn-well know it is gray. Bieber is not a Cy Young level pitcher. Clase/JK have some serious issues. Instead it is "nothing to see here, please disperse". I"m not asking them to trash these guys. Just be a tad more realistic about what we are seeing. This is a team that is spewing oil early in the season during a soft part of the schedule. Losing 2 of 3 to Yankees-B in a nearly empty stadium is a punch to the guy. Losing 7 of 8 last series....getting too much like a pattern at this point.

The Cleveland baseball club, not once in 7 years, lost 5 series in a row when Bryan Shaw was on the roster. This clubs failure to either a. Re-sign him or b. Find his replacement has lead to this debacle.

The depth in the catching group, aside from Bo Naylor and his inadequacies, is in the DSL and complex leagues.. sadly.. there are three guys coming, however, they are two plus years away.. doesn't really help what's needed yesterday, today or the "near" tomorrow..

I didn't realize it was down that low until a graphic flash on the screen last night. Not sure if that was common knowledge or not- I typically watch the games on mute and don't do a whole lot of article reading.

My guess would be that he and the staff thought that high usage contributed to his shoulder injury in 2021 + the pitch isn't as effective with the sticky ban. The frequency in which we throws it has been more or less replaced by a cutter, which is not a strikeout pitch

Unfortunately, even if we draft someone this year (as you hope for in the draft forum, if I recall), he will be 2+ years away as well. And, going through the prospect lists, I am just waiting for a kid like Manuel Mejias to break out in Lynchburg. He will just be 19 in June and being a part of the Jan 21 Int signee group, he is only one prospect other than Genao to make it out of the complex so far and that includes Alduey and Aldeano who I know people are high on. Thus, Guardians must be high on him. Yet, it has to be an area that we target in our trading of pitchers -- should be able to snare 1-2 depth pieces that can join Naylor as a back-up that we hoped Lava would be. Of course, you want someone higher up but getting a Cartaya or even a Quero is a lot to ask with Bieber's decline (with good catchers kind of being horded by a few teams).

When is the last time, if ever, that a Cleveland team failed to hit a single HR at Yankees Stadium during a series in the Bronx? Did any Guardians hitter even hit a ball to the warning track the past few days? The complete dearth of power at the moment is truly frightening.

You can tell Manning and Underwood are frustrated too. They have been very careful with their wording when it comes to Rosario.
