Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is an honest question. Who do we have off the bench that you can trust right now? Outside of the starting lineup is there one person on the bench with some form of consistency?

Yeah.

They all consistently suck ass

Any opponent that hustles is going to light us up right now. We are 2 or 3 steps behind defensively. Defense starts with not getting blown by on the perimeter and that happens constantly with us. Combine that with extremely minimal effort from the rest of the team rotating or fighting through screens and you end up with our current product. Which is essentially hoping the other team misses wide open jumpers or doesn't see the unguarded cutter at the rim.

Can we throw a little shade at Griffin? Biggest payroll in the league, and we're currently running out maybe 5 NBA worthy rotation players. Almost Prokhorov levels of inefficient roster usage.

Too much reliance on really old guys to make up the minimum roster spots. Yea, Mo Williams hurt the team, but they shouldn't have been counting on him anyway.

Felder only gets garbage time.

Yogi Ferrell from the D-League lights us up. No Love and our offense is literally LeBron and Kyrie taking turns 1 on 5 with Korver running on the weakside blanketed.

So damn ugly. And we're gonna wait till buyout season for PG? Dudes are gassed in the 3rd quarter and we haven't won the second game of a back to back all season yet.

Just annoying.

I think Friday or Saturday will be when they finally bite the bullet and sign a PG. It gets us right up to the trade deadline with two 10 day contracts and a decision can be made to sign the PG base on if they make a trade or not. Also they will know who will be on the buyout market.

I don't think we are in any danger of losing in the East unless we are majorly injured.

The Cavs are a completely different team in the post-season.

I think it's just time to accept that for the rest of our window, this team is not going to truly compete in the dog-days of the NBA, by choice. We're going to win ~55 games, and turn on the switch in the playoffs. The players don't care. They're obviously not putting in the amount of gym work they normally do, they're obviously not even trying for big chunks of games.

It sucks to watch as somebody who loves the journey. Makes me not even want to watch until March anymore. I know I wont be able to stay away, but these games aren't enjoyable.

I hope you are right, and that has been what I've been telling myself all year as well, but for whatever reason this game put me over the edge lol. A lot of the defense is effort, but now that I am starting to see a ton of issues arise offensively as well, I am becoming extremely concerned. Earlier in the year our offense was unstoppable. We were just getting lit up on defense. Now the defense has seemed to get even worse and our offense is really struggling and becoming completely reliant on LBJ and Kyrie.

And I completely agree this season has not been enjoyable at all... and I am so disappointed in that. After the title, I thought this regular season would be so much fun. I thought we'd give more effort than last regular season as the "defending champs defending their title" but the effort has just gotten worse... much worse. Besides the Spurs game, it's been a while since I can remember really enjoying watching a game this season.

Watching this team right now, like every January, is like watching the Indians the first 3 months of the season. Same tiring/uninteresting play with one or two amazing highlights every few games.

This team is very vulnerable...the east is no guarantee, there's alot of hungry teams like Boston. we need to pick it up...This just has that feel of a year where they just can't get right... injuries lacks play...bickering

Sure looks like I timed my vacation well, right in sync with the Cavs...

They have the same problems they've had for weeks, and by all measures they've been even worse since Shumpert ascended to starting squad and Liggins was sent off to.... the Cadillac Ranch? who knows, but right now he couldn't get the time from Flavor Flav (and the reason sure can't be their sterling play....)
