Nance with another great game and TT once again did nothing

Why...

Cedi and Zizic...two players who could give us a SIZE advantage against the Pacers...buried on the bench in favor of Green and a handful of other players who should have been yanked after an AWFUL showing.

There was a series of moments that sort of doomed this Cavs team from bridging this out to further success.

1.) The 2015 run which pretty much led to two of the stars on this team not playing with LeBron in the finals.
2.) Said 2015 run creating this insanely ridiculous, smug juggernaut in the form of the Warriors. (Most people were not expecting them to be our finals opponent coming in, rather people were expecting the Thunder, Spurs, etc)
3.) The 2016 Warriors breaking records, recruiting a "Ring less" Durant to join their team thus ensuring that the the 2017 Finals were guaranteed to be slanted in their direction.
4.) The 2017 Cavaliers being sown the seeds of discontent even further with Kyrie just wanting to cut out of here like you wouldn't believe.
5.) Indiana REFUSING to trade with us in spite of us perhaps working out a good deal because Sam Pritchard didn't want to "help" us.
6.) Us taking the deal which led us to shipping up perhaps the 2nd best player in franchise history for a collection of magic beans and the potential of a high lottery pick.
7.) Us "slightly" being able to recoup on that pick with the son of a Cavs legend, but the franchise still seems up shit creek.

It's not a "curse" thing, it's a simple of getting things to break the right way and how insanely difficult that is to pull off.

It's not "over" per say, I just need to see a moment where I'm convinced otherwise.

This isn't like the 86 Browns where you can pinpoint the action or playcalling that wound up dooming that franchise (Don't play prevent defense against a guy like Elway). Rather there just seems to be almost a "Choose your own adventure"/Domino effect for each action listed above,

It does teach quite a few of us a lesson on how difficult it is to actually even get "one" championship in pro sports. I would imagine that the other franchises in Cleveland are taking note of this, and even the Cavaliers for future reference.

I'm annoyed because I know when the window shuts on a title appearance in the NBA? For a non-San Antonio, Boston or LA Lakers team? It shuts for quite a long time.

Just be ready. We're at least in better shape than 2010, but uh, this is going to be the last time we're discussing "playoffs" for a few seasons.

I knew I'd miss Frye, but honestly I didn't think it would be this soon. Just no one we can rely on to shoot a high percentage when wide open anymore. Especially cold off the bench.

Shot like shit.

This team does that from time to time. Hopefully they got it out of their system.

Also, what’s wrong with a little playoff adversity? The supporting cast needs to up their games.
Put up or shut up. Indiana isn’t afraid of them.

Name the 3rd best player on the team.

Then whoever you pick, ask youself if that guy woild be the 3rd best player on any of the .Other playoff teams.

Talent IS an issue. We will beat Indiana, but keeping LeBron here is going to be tough.

Our 3rd best player wouldnt be in Boston's top 5. LeBron had to see that.

I think the BKN pick is the way only way to pull in that legit third option which is total chance that someone becomes available this offseason.

Also we need a coach who installs a system.

Still need a legit 2nd option. We have someone who can play the role of the 3rd.

I think love is a fine 2nd option. Issue is he needs someone to feed him the ball, which doesn’t happen because we don’t actually run sets for him.

Thanks for your well thought out post . I do appreciate even if others don’t .You would have been better off just saying Lue sucks and it’s all his fault the past 4 years and received a record breaking amount of likes and winners .

That’s false..as I stated in other threads, there were multiple times where they tried to post Love up in the post in the first half and he was moved out of the paint like a rag doll. The Cavs then abandoned those attempts.
