No, you have about 3 or 4 teams actually trying to build a roster for the finals. We need to capitalize off the other 25 or so teams who are taking a long approach to wait out Golden State.
The reason those "25 or so" other teams are taking the long approach is because they realize they can't make the Finals. Because it is hard as hell to build an NBA roster capable of making the Finals. So they tank, etc., and take a longer approach.
But even though 25 or so teams know they can't make the Finals, you expect the Cavs to 1) build a roster capable of reaching the Finals even without LBJ (even though you admit that 25 or so teams can't do that), while 2) still having LBJ's $33+ million salary on the payroll. Without tanking, without "taking a long approach". Hell, if it was possible for us to build a Finals-worthy roster even without considering LBJ, then all those 25+ other teams would do it as well. But they can't, so they take the long view.
What you are suggesting the Cavs do is impossible. Anyone who has even the most basic understanding of the way the NBA works would know that.
