Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fultz needs to be shut down 100% until he is healthy with that shoulder. To hell with this shot changing stuff.

The tape I watched of that kid showed me a guy who is the real fucking deal as a ball handler/playmaker and scorer in todays league. He's got a good shot. He was so under control and smooth. He needs to get healthy.

They didn't rush Simmons back and now they're reaping the benefits because he looks like a possible generational talent. Embiid is definitely a generational talent.

Tatum is more ready right now(we kind of always knew this though). And off to a great start with the right coach in the right situation. But ceiling wise Fultz has it in him to be a better player. They need to change course on whatever they're doing to screw him over right now though.

That's what makes this all the more confusing. He was as polished a freshman as I've ever seen. He had everything at Washington. What's happening now is so... weird.

The more I think the about the trade though, the less it makes sense. They had to have known that Simmons was going to be their point guard. Why not just keep the pick and take Tatum? Or, if Ainge wasn't bullshitting everyone and Boston really did have Tatum #1, they could stay at 3 and take Fultz without giving up that Lakers pick. Everyone knew the Lakers were taking Lonzo.

Fultz is a great fit next to Simmons and Embiid though because he looked like a potential 50-40-90 guy out of the gate, with his ability to get any shot he wanted from the perimeter for crunch time. He was never going to be a 9-10 assist guy. More like a 25-5 guy kind of like Kyrie.

Tatum, for example, is making himself look like the best prospect in the draft early on by hitting wide open spot up threes and hustling, and only creating his shot when he's got the right match-up/open lane to do so. Stevens has basically committed to making the game as easy and direct as possible for him(and Jaylen Brown) and it has paid dividends.

It seems like the Sixers are just trying to make the game harder for Fultz which makes no sense. I know it's harder to do with Simmons and Embiid because those are also young guys learning their way...but they really should be focused on developing Fultz off-ball positioning/shooting/scoring moreso than his on-ball. The dude will forever be able to take his man and get a good shot. That's just in his blood. They need to teach him how to play off his co-stars and drill it into his head. instead theyre messing around with his shot because they don't like how he releases the ball off the dribble? GTFOH, I say.

They were bringing him off the bench while Simmons and Embiid were still in there before shutting him down. Don't think it was a problem with their plan on the court, he's just obviously not right physically and should be shut down until he is.

And I get what you're saying, I just disagree. I think if you take Tatum, you can throw out a lineup of Simmons-Luwawu-Tatum-Covington-Embiid which, in a couple of years, is literally stopping EVERYTHING. And on offense it's really damn good.

...Really ? He's a 19 year old rookie & you want to reserve judgement on him until you see how he plays against the Clevelands & Golden States of the league?

Give him props, he can Ball. Hell of a True PG, has a ton of potential

Hey bud, how's all the disagree votes treating ya? Cool, cool. Hey, Ball is shooting under 30% from the field, under 50% from the free throw line. The concerns are real.

Feel free to throw a few more disagree votes my way. It's been fun.

I really like Lonzo, but the guy finishes at the rim like he has no fingers. It's like he's Dion Waiters circa 2013. No touch. No finesse.

Jason Kidd always looks like a psycho to me. He has the crazy eyes and the way he speaks is creepy.

Lonzo Ball is a bust. Knew it from the 1st game.

The suns game makes his averages a ways better. Lakers fell in a trap...

Lonzo's ORtg is an astounding 84 right now, with his 30+ minutes and 8 PER

He's gonna be a star. Just give him time.

Can't see it. It's not just his game.. it's how he looks on the floor, his demeanor and how nonchelante he is. His legs are crooked so he will never be an average man to man defender as well.

How much time do you want to give him?

A few years. He needs to greatly improve his shooting but I think he can be a borderline all star. LA isn't very good right now so I want to see what happens with them this offseason.

I'm not going to be here in a few years and you knew that. I'll give him a year.
