:chuckles:

Only if we can work out of AZ!

Eh, Kerr isnt too popular here, maybe we could apply for that job. Only way I could root against Lebron or the cavs if I ran another team, lol

From Hollinger's chat today:

Josh (Columbus): What do you think of the Cavs making a move for Gerald Wallace? Significant addition for them?

John Hollinger: Last I checked the Cavs were pretty set at small forward. Besides, what Cleveland needs are spacers, not slashers -- having all the shooting around LeBron is what's propelled them forward this year.

Gotta say I agree with him.

^which is probably why a move for one of the millers is a little more realistic.

Wallace more realistic now????

Sources told ESPN.com on Friday that the Mavericks and Bobcats are close to completing a deal that would send Dallas center DeSagana Diop to Charlotte for guard Matt Carroll and center Ryan Hollins.

This makes Nazr Mohammed a spare part for Charlotte...a spare part with very low trade value, and a long contract.

Wallace & Nazr to Cleveland may have become more realistic if Dallas just sent Diop to Charlotte.

<!-- begin story body --> <!-- template inline -->The Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Bobcats have reached an agreement after last week's collapse of a three-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
This one, however, does not involve Bobcats guard Raymond Felton.

He's got 30pts, 11rebs and 2blks right now against the Blazers.

Sorry, I don't. You can never have enough lock down defenders and we have a myriad of options as to where to play him.

Haven't heard any actual rumors in ages, just speculation. Last one was Reghi saying we'll end up with Wallace.

Anyway, I really hope it's true. He makes the most sense for this team.

31 pts 16 reb 3 ast 2 stls tonight for Gerald.

Can anyone e-mail Reghi for more details before I go crazy...must...hear....more....rumors.

With Wallace we can have a great defender on the opposing team's SF and put LBJ on their guard.

Example: Against the Celtics you can have Wallace on Pierce and LBJ on Rondo while Delonte/Mo/Boobie chase Allen around.
or
Against the Lakers LeBron will take Kobe while Wallace can guard Odom, Ariza, or one of their foreigners in crunch time.

This would not help spacing, but might not be bad if he's off the bench. We are running small ball a LOT. So putting Wallace at the 3, LBJ at the 4 (or other way around), and a couple of shooters at the guards allows for some spacing, an athletic freak inside, and a lot of finishers together at once.

I'm not positive Wallace wouldn't hurt things when it comes to shooting, but his defense and explosive place could be well worth anything he offsets.

LBJ on Rondo LOL

Rondo wouldnt score ever

Most likely it'd be Wallace on Rondo not LeBron. Bron HAS to guard Pierce.

Also, Gerald defending either Hedo or Rashard.

Good point. Really, I think Orlando is the team we'll be seeing at some point in the playoffs. As we're currently constructed, I don't know how we'll matchup with them. If you bring in Wallace, you can have him guard Hedo, and LBJ guard Rashard, and we'd be fine.
