Monta Ellis and possible other players/deals Cavs could get tomorrow night

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My point is there is no way they will trade a future running mate for Curry, just to receive cap relief. The Ellis trade is not what i'm arguing, it's the fact that they would throw in the pick as well. You saw how OKC was built, I'm sure GS would like to try the same thing. Build around young, top draft picks. Now Randolph and Ellis is not as crazy.

They're trying to sell the franchise right now. Think about it.

it really depends on who the GM is...if the GM is desperate enough to get rid of Ellis, he'd be willing to give away the pick along with Monta (but i dont think they'd do that). but if the GM is smart he'd keep the pick.

remember, the Warriors are thinking about selling the team. who would buy the team minus Biedrins (who's rumored to go to Denver), Monta, Corey and now the 6th overall pick? :dunno:

That would make the team a hell of a lot easier to sell than it would if they had close to maximum salary.

Somebody that can buy them cheap, then build the team how they see fit.

Thought for sure they were going to say Bledsoe was traded to Cleveland.

I was hoping like hell that they were sending Alabi to Cleveland... I guess we sat this one out completely. They'd better pull off something HUGE in the next week.

Don't count on it. It's basically written in stone at this point, there's really no reason for Lebron to stay anymore.

I wouldn't be that down yet....anything out of the top 5-10 picks wouldn't have been a wow move anyway....I don't think anything is set in Ston eyet either....Knicks are still terrible,I don't think Mia is an actual option unless LBJ wants to be the sidekick and he would be,and I don't think Chi is either unless he wants to be in Michael shadow and I don't think even there he is winning 6 or 7 titles and that would always put him behind MJ....JMO but I wouldn't say all is lost.....BTW Larry Legend is my fav player of all time and if players these days had his heart and basketball knowledge it would be a much more enjoyable league...I can remember where I was the day he retired like it was yesterday!....I just wish I was a little older to appreciate his prime years a little more but I've watched a shit load of older tape, all his documentaries, and read his biography...when my son is old enough to understand basketball I will be showing him more Bird footage than I will any of today's players....don't get me wrong I still enjoy the game today but I think it is more about money to alot of guys these days then it is about winning and it is sickening

I do not get It... the fact we didn't waste money or an trade asset and one team makes a trade to Improve their cap space for maybe not only this year and the next. And we did not waste anything on an unknown draft player means LeBron Is gone. If I only could explain here why people are wrong. Oh and by the way we already drafted this years big man two years ago In JJ Hickson. That is basically what every big out of the top 15 was a Project... so yeah agree with you there on some points In your post!

well it's going to be hard to build a team with little pieces..good luck with that GS
The point is to have cap space to acquire pieces that you want to build around. There are still good, young pieces in GS. Take Curry, Randolph, Wright, Azubuike, develop them, add in a veteran wing and center, and you could have a nice team. In all honesty, it will help their rebuild if they are a lotto team for a couple more years.

That being said, what would entice GSW to send Monta Cleveland's way. If they did that, does Monta play between Mo and LeBron, or is Mo moved for other pieces?

when you're about to sell the team, teams often trade away players for expiring contracts, picks and money...

Just to throw an idea out. Like what chicago did with hinrich last night, could the cavs trade jamison for a cheap pick and then just get rid of a few other players so they could afford another max contract?
