NBA Finals | Game 1 | Cavs (0-0) @ Warriors (0-0) | June 1, 2017 | 9:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I like basketball commercials showing players listening to music while playing something none of the players shown would actually listen to

I disagree. We can play with a decent pace and still win. We just cannot constantly turn the ball over.

They have over 40 points off of fastbreak opportunities+second chance points. That is absolutely obscene. It is the sole difference in this game.

We have shot 35% and turned it over 17 times. We literally gave ourselves zero chance to win this game.
This

Durant 38 0 turnovers
LeBron 28 8 turnovers

Curry 28 10 assists
Kyrie 24 2 assists

Its hard to force turnovers when the refs are all on gs side.
Its time our guys get fricking pissed. Cause Curry and Durant have been catching shit from everybody the past year for choking away a 3-1 lead. The played angry. Our stars have to do the same.

Cavs only chance is to grind these games to a goddamn halt and make it as physical as possible.

The problem is LeBron doesn't get any calls when he posts up, and Zaza was the most physical guy on the court tonight.

Defensively, they have to live with a green shooting the 3 ball. I just don't see any way we can continue to leave our defensive wings without any help. You have to live with Draymond taking that shot....

Lastly, I see no reason to not consider "hack an Iggy"when Warriors go into hyper-offensive mode.

What exactly is the adjustment to be made? The Warrios have overwhelming offensive talent. Cant trap them. Cant go under. If the Cavs are gonna switch then the Cavs players have to play better individual defense. Problem is the Cavs have almost no positive defenders and multiple horrible defenders.

They also are pretty good on the defensive side of the ball.

I think we can play a lot better, but on tonight's evidence we may just not have enough to win four games against this team. We were fortunate that Klay is not shooting well, or the rout would have been much worse.

game 2 isn't until sunday... wtf

Only the warriors get away with this hacking

Everybody relax.

Jerk your gerk and release some toxins from this game.

Go to bed.

Kevin love had 21 rebounds and 3 blocks to go with his 15 points... that's pretty good. I think he was the cavs best player tonight. Drew a ton of fouls, too.
Stats were fantastic, but he failed to block out and hedge on multiple occasions. He is what he is defensively, offensively you can't ask for more.

Send him to the podium!

Also itd be nice to see us not settle for jumpshots. I feel like we ran 5 plays. All of which GSW can identify bc it's the same 5 plays that are non-iso.

Am surprised a Cavs fan actually makes the comparison between Durant's decision and Lebron's to leave for Miami. Warriors won 73!! games last year and proved they can win without Durant as shown by their 14 game win streak without him this year. Miami was an unknown whether it would even work out as shown by their struggles in their first season eventually losing to Dallas. If you go back and watch the series Miami played in, it was clear that Lebron wasn't riding cottails, he actually carried that team. Durant could sit out this series and the Warriors would have a chance to still win.

But remember, the Dubs didn't actually add Durant to a 73-9 team, because they gave up 2 starters and depth and stuff, or something, even though Shaqtin + Zaza + West are simultaneously better than Bogut + Uncle Festus + Barbosa (and they call other fans logically inconsistent.)

My other favorite comparison is that Dubs fans condescendingly claiming to "feel our pain" about the 52-year drought because the Dubs were "lovable losers" in the past. Uh, no, look at all the other Bay area championships. As far as I'm concerned, Cleveland fans got essentially infinite "sore winner points" last year and have essentially all of them left.

I hate tapping out of a series after 1 game but I have never been closer to doing so in my life. So, instead i am just going to let my logical brain right itself and focus game 2 and finding a path to victory.

19 TOs to 4...game.

Pretty much this. The Warriors weren't even shooting a scorching hot percentage either. They finished at 42%. Not exactly lighting the world on fire and that's with 20 turnovers.

I'm not sure we can win a game this series where Love is our best player. I still don't think he was our best player this game though.

However, 15 points...just isn't enough against this team. We need 23+ Love that played against the Celtics.
