NBA Regular season games thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
if your a believer in karma that actually favors the heat than. All the hate that team receives on the daily bases makes them the "good guys" so karma is actually in there favor.

karma is based on deeds. not emotions. You receive bad if you do bad, not think bad. I don't care which team you pledge your allegiance to, but can we please make sure that the answers are contextually correct?

And people say the Bulls wouldn't have a chance with Rose...

The Bulls wouldn't have a chance with Rose.

Is this your first year watching the NBA? The regular season means absolutely nothing when it comes to playoff matchups. The Heat would sweep the Bulls...MAYBE they'd get sluggish and let it go 5 max.

Also, no matter who comes out of the West, they can't take the Heat past 6 games. I stand by my prediction that the Heat don't go more than 5 games in any series this year on their way to a repeat.

I mean as long as Chris Rich thinks so...

I truly believe I am the only one on this board who believes the Thunder COULD beat the Heat in the Finals.

The whole notion of karma in the sports arena is nuts (actually outside of sports too, but thats another discussion). An NBA team equates to 15 players. What % of those individuals have to be bad to incur bad karma for the team. What if the 5 starters and the first 2 reserves are jerks, but the 8 other players are saints? IOW does playing time matter when considering karma.

No team can match Miami in a 7 game series. Sure the Spurs, Thunder, and even the Knicks could beat them once or twice, but the pressure if off of Miami now. The pressure is still very much on Durant, Melo, etc. Had Dirk not gone off two years ago, they would be looking to win their third in a row.

It's the goddamn attitude they develop as a team that I don't like. It was the same with the Cavs in 2009 with the pre-game semantics. Add in a city's behavior, national media's bs reports, and you have a lot of stuff you'd love to tune out until he retires. I mean, look at the Celtics from before. Ray Allen looked like a swell guy... what'd he do in a Cavs-Celtics clash at the end of the last decade? Tried to elbow Varejao in the nuts. Some guys aren't bad, like Z, but other just get cocky for no goddamn reason.

Ahh 09 Pregame....those were "some antics" :chuckles:

It is what it is, its a game. They had fun, nothing really sinister about that that should incur the wrath of the Karma police. Even with that event Ray Allen isn't/wasn't a bad guy. Guys are/were competing and sometimes it gets contensious and they react.

Guys competing don't hit 'em low and kick 'em while they're down. That's the type of notorious rep that the Celtics become known for, which media circuits make fun of occasionally. The Bad Boy Pistons were known for it too, but in a different way.

What's worse about this Heat team is the theory of "inmates (players) running the asylum (team)". Really, it's the players we pay to see, but does that mean they should be the CEO of their own business by taking away from the hard-working owner who went and made the deal to get the team made? Why should they go and decide to make Olympic teams in an official league that NEEDS parity to survive (they complained about the stars being cut too thin and should remove teams to make it more fair, WHAT ABOUT THAT MARKET, DUMB@$$ES?!).

A lot of problems with the Heat team that shouldn't have been made and is only popular because of its star value. Really, it needs an overhaul, fix what it started.

Mods, I know I'm causing an off-topic surge here. Just put this somewhere where you see fit.

true ... but if u want to discuss karma, then karma is not based on the team but rather on the individual. Also, Karma is not quid pro quo or tit for tat. And it adds more credence if u believe in ...... wait for it .... reincarnation!
