New TV Series to watch

Started watching season three of Gomorrah, as I finally found a good torrent with some hardcoded subtitles.

This is an absolute must-watch show. Easily one of the best on TV right now. Episodes three and four were both phenomenal, and I love the direction this season is taking.
 
While it's not new, i'm watching Black Flags at the moment. I'm on season 3. Season 1 is a bit slower building all the characters, but i'm having a good time with it.

Just started this one as well, although I am only on the fifth episode. I agree it's slow, but I went into it having heard that season two and three are a lot better, so I'm going to power through it.

It's Black Sails, by the way. :chuckle:

I must have had assassins creed on my mind. I've said this too a few times and my gf is like what...? 2013-2014 was a good year to be fan of pirating if you also like video games.
 
Has anyone been watching the Assassination of Giovanni Versace?

It is uneven but the last two episodes were phenomenal. The show is at its best when dealing with the normal people whose lives were ruined, and ended by, evil Darren Criss.

I watched the first episode, but then decided I want to wait until the entire season is released before finishing it. I think it's a show that will benefit from binge watching just like the OJ one did.

They aired two episodes early. Anyway, great animation, fun characters, good comedy, action and surprisingly violent.

If you were a Harry Potter nerd I recommend the show on SyFy "The Magicians". Been binging it the past couple of days, pretty good show so far. Acting can be subpar at times is my only gripe. Other than that it definitely feeds my closet nerd soul.

The main issue with it is how badly they mangled Takeshi's backstory. It really makes no sense for him to be a Quellist, and changing the entire backstory of the Envoys was a mistake as well. They seem so lame as a generic freedom fighter group training in the woods. I also hated that they made Kawahara his sister on the show, as it really doesn't make any sense given her role in the story. The only change from the book that works really well is changing the hotel from the Hendrix to the Raven.

Visually, the show is spectacular. Fight scenes are good too.
