New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The main issue with it is how badly they mangled Takeshi's backstory. It really makes no sense for him to be a Quellist, and changing the entire backstory of the Envoys was a mistake as well. They seem so lame as a generic freedom fighter group training in the woods. I also hated that they made Kawahara his sister on the show, as it really doesn't make any sense given her role in the story. The only change from the book that works really well is changing the hotel from the Hendrix to the Raven.

Visually, the show is spectacular. Fight scenes are good too.
so its worth me reading the first book even though ive seen the first season?

Adam already asked, but maybe I should read the book then after I finish the show.

The book is a better, more logical and coherent version of the show, so yes. There's also more than one book, and the show is looking like it may not get renewed, so if you want to continue the story, the book is probably the only place to do it.

Takeshi totally fucked Kawahara in the books didn't he? They were pretty damn close as siblings on the tv series. That is very strange to make them siblings just cause.

I don't believe he ever slept with her in the book universe. I believe he worked for her on another planet prior to the events of the first book.

Anyone still watch Homeland?

Is the most recent season worth watching?

Portlandia is back. Good season.

I just finished season 6 of homeland. We're watching season 2 of billion before going back to season 7 of homeland.

I wasn't really a big fan of season 6. It did get better about halfway through the season, but I hated the frannie sub plot and her work as a civilian. Peter Quinn wast he best thing going the past couple seasons and then yeah...

Someone recommend me a show where I will feel like an emotional piece of shit, but it is a thrill ride from start to finish.

If you don't mind subtitles, watch Gomorrah. Show can be devastating, but it also rarely slows down.

The Shield is a great choice as well. Takes a bit to get going, but I think seasons four and five are two of the best seasons of TV I've ever seen. The Shield also has the best ending of any show I've watched.

I've started re-watching Justified the past week and just started season two. I don't think there's a non-drama with better writing than this show. All the dialogue is just so good, and just the premise of being essentially a western set in modern day rural Kentucky is fantastic.
