Not Ashamed to Admit We Were Wrong on...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really thought the Browns were going to win that Bears game in 2001 when they were up 21-7 with the ball in Chicago territory with three minutes left. I ended up being wrong about that.

Raiders waived S Obi Melifonwu.

The Raiders telegraphed this move when they waived/injured Melifonwu in August. The No. 56 overall pick of last year's draft, Melifonwu could not get healthy as a rookie and then barely practiced during the offseason. That was enough for impatient coach Jon Gruden to move on. Still only 24, Melifonwu should pretty quickly get a second chance elsewhere if his health cooperates.

Pretty sure Obi’s knees exploded. That’s such a shame, was a really fun prospect to watch.

It's like a confessional in here. Father Forum, forgive me for I have sinned.

Fuck, I dont think I have enough time to list them all. Off the top of my head:

Hue
Shelton
Kizer
Kessler (although still think he can be a starter)
Coleman
T-Rich
Gilbert
And I was a Johnny guy. Although I did admit that it was a big risk at the time, I thought he was more Baker competitive than a drugged out loser.

I'm sure there were others too. But those were the biggest ones for me, for sure.

Well, except for those posters who come to the "I was wrong thread" to blow their own horns about how many times they are right.

Personally, I'm almost never wrong on players. I'm also almost never right because I'm pretty much aware that I don't know shit about most college players in the first place.

Very rarely expect the Browns to draft correctly, so I’m rarely wrong on players. Sometimes I’m off by a year or two on how long it will take for them to be out of the league.

I was wrong on Brady Quinn. I irrationally thought he’d be good.

I was wrong on Baker. Thought he was too short.

I also thought I gave up on Jose Ramirez too early when he first came into the league but based on his post-season performance, I may have been right in the first place.

Demarious Randle, I thought he’d do good at safety. I didn’t realize that he’d also be good at corner like he was last week.

I used to be way into the draft. A buddy and I would make our own little draft guides. Usually, we knew about half the guys drafted in 6th or 7th rounds. We even went one year.

After all that work, in 2007 I thought Jamarcus Russell was the best QB prospect since Peyton, and in 2008, I was convinced Matt Ryan would be bust.

Now, I just watch it on TV.

You and me both, brother.

I bought waaaaay too much in the “can throw a football through the up rights, on his knee, from the 50 yard line.”. Thought he would be throwing bombs for years to come.

I thought the NFL would want the browns to be good and call games fairly. I was wrong though, the refs have consistently sucked more then the kickers this year.

2018- I wanted Darnold but right now I think Baker is better. I thought D James to LAR would be a bust.

2017-Conley from tOSU to Raiders thought he would be nasty

2016-Treadwell thought he would be pretty good

What’s the price for Garion Conley? Do you think we could make him a running mate for Ward? I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t watched any raiders games outside of the browns one. He looks solid agaisnt us.

We really need a top wr over another corner. I’m all for taking the bpa outside of QB though.

Wasn't that Kyle Boller?
(I was actually right about Kyle Boller. Wait... wasn't everyone except Ozzie Newsome?)
