Do Not Sell My Personal Information
... As much as I want the Bibby.. I'm starting to fall in love with Miller bandwagon though. Hell, let's make our starting backcourt Miller and Miller!

miller & miller, sounds good

We already have a Jones & Jones combo. And boy, are they an unstoppable duo

I have a feeling something minor will be done, probably including Shannon Brown. I mean, why would the Cavs hold on to Shannon past the trading deadline? There is no way he is going to resign here in the offseason, and he is not part of the rotation, so why not take what you can get for him, even if it is a 2nd round pick?

Mods, please move this pointless thread over to Cavs.com where it belongs.

Yeah, but it's more fun talking about who we 'could' get. Talking about not doing anything is boring.

Dont expect anything. We would be only getting average players but would fit in our system. I can feel Earl Watson would be in Cavs Uniform after the deadline.

I started discussing this stuff on Scout before the Cavs drafted Lebron James. The best potential player they had traded for was Miles, but they traded Andre Miller to get him. That wasn't at the trade deadline either, that was in the summer. The last thing that Paxson did was good also, getting Drew and AV for Battie. Ferry hasn't done anything besides a few major bad signings, and a few smaller trades, that no one even talks about. I refuse this year to talk any nonsense about getting anyone. IF it happens then I'll talk about it.

We need Gerald Green and Delonte West.

Or AK47. Ok maybe not him.

And fine; I'm going to just say it: we shouldn't get Kidd or Bibby. I just don't like the idea of trading away the few tradable expirings, picks and young guys we have for huge contracts that might hamstring us in upcoming trade markets.

I mean, let's say we get Bibby or Kidd. What happens when we need to make a move after we get him? Who're we gonna trade without Boobie (who they're going to want), Drew and draft picks? Damon Jones? Donyell Marshall? Eric Snow? Other teams have upcoming expirings next year too, and will have the picks and young guys to package with them that we won't have if we try to get one of those guys.

If we get Kidd or Bibby then we HAVE to sign quality free agents, which - much as I actually do support our GM  - just doesn't seem to be Ferry's strong suit. He does, however, seem to know what he's doing with respect to coaxing talent away from teams.

I think small moves are more beneficial to this team than blockbuster signings or trades, if for no other reason than that with our cap situation we can still maintain a little flexibility.

And I'm fully aware that this will be an unpopular opinion around here, where everyone should be traded and whanot, but I think it's at least something to think about.
