Im surprised Miami isnt #1. And with the down years Notre Dame is still in the top ten. hmm, interesting stuff there.

You can add another 7 after this year. I don't know who's coming out at the other schools on that list, but that most likely makes us #1.

Hawk, Holmes, Mangold, Carpenter, Whitner, who else is there?

Sims, Schlegal, Kudla and maybe Salley, Green and Everett. Hopefully no Whitner or Youboty. It's even possible Huston could go late with his cannon of a leg, but I seriously doubt it.

Kudla is a beast, and a guy who was told he was going to die due to a rare disease..

I hope we don't lose a ton of juniors..some will go but we need em to stay..

Holmes is gone. Whitner is 50/50. Youboty is 20/80 (favoring staying). No one else will go. Our deepest positions are DB and WR, so even if they all go we should be fine.

While we're talking about departing seniors, lets pay homage to these guys. Let's take a look at just some of their accomplishments the last 4 years:

  • 43-8 (school record for wins)
  • 3-1 vs Mich
  • 4-0 in Bowls (school record)
  • 3 BCS wins (NCAA record)
  • 3 top 5 finishes
  • 2 Big Ten titles
  • a National title

Wow, very impressive! Thanks for so many memorable moments!

Kudos to that, OSU

but that was against cake schedules.

I love the Senior class, I remember Hawk in the Miami game...so sad that he's leaving..ughh..

It sucks cuz now we have to give him up to some nfl franchise..If he goes to the Jets I'll be pissed cuz they treat their draft picks like shit..Id love him on the Browns.

Kiper was saying on PTI how 25 players from USC will be drafted...not all this year, both sides of starters and some other guys that are juniors and underclassmen.

Thats a scary thought on one team.

During the Fiesta Bowl they mentioned the number of players that were in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl (OSU & Miami) that are now in the NFL. I believe it was in the 60s (!!!), and (obviuosly) didn't include this year's seniors. That's pretty impressive.

A nice story on one of the less heralded seniors: http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/486259.html

“I didn’t commit until Coach Tressel was hired,” Green said. “When I met with him, I kind of felt like he was just a down-to-earth good guy. Probably one of the most down-to-earth coaches I’ve ever met. (Texas’) Mack Brown was also pretty down-to-earth, but everybody else, they’ll tell you this stuff. Coach Tressel is a straight shooter. He’s going to tell you like it is. I was big and he was like, ‘You’re going to have to lose weight when you get here.’ And I was like, ‘This man is serious.’ He said, ‘If you don’t lose weight, you probably won’t play here.’ And I’m like, ‘This might be where I need to go – somewhere that’s going to get me better and get me where I need to be.’”
Gotta love how honest JT is. He doesn't just tell the kids what they want to hear, like so many coaches.

honesty is something coaches need to have and jt is very honest.
