With the Knicks losing, I suppose it's still possible to make it. The Hawks are still likely to fall lower than the Knicks, and the Knicks could have landed the fatal blow tonight, but didn't connect. A 5-game win streak will be the only thing that MIGHT get us in, but, even then, we will have to have some luck with the Knicks and Hawks sucking it up the rest of the way. I'd say that there's about a 5-10% chance we make it in now.
Don't sleep on Charlotte tomorrow...we're on a back-to-back and they're trying hard to grab the 6th seed and avoid Miami/Indy in the first round. That's the game I'm most nervous about.
Quick Update.
If the Cavs go 6-0, NY would need to go 3-3 or worse, Atl would need to go 4-4 or worse
If the Cavs go 5-1, NY would need to go 2-4 or worse, Atl would need to go 3-5 or worse
If the Cavs go 4-2, NY would need to go 1-5 or worse, Atl would need to go 2-6 or worse
If the Cavs go 3-3, NY would need to go 0-6 or worse, Atl would need to go 1-7 or worse
Well... let's see how this all plays out.
At the end of the season we can assess where we ended up and if the playoff push was worth it or not.
I think I've been pretty open about what I've thought throughout the year from the start to the finish. So have a few others. We can talk about it once the Knicks/Hawks win 2 more games.
Until that time, I hope the Cavs win every game and the Knicks and Hawks lose every game. We are all in the same boat now.
Quick update, going to be hard.
