Playoff Positioning

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can see a 10-5 March. Probably the realistic best case scenario.

Haven't we had like the third toughest strength of schedule in the league so far? Why is our remaining schedule so tough?

Hopefully Washington and Chicago lose tonight. I don't see Toronto losing to the Nets at home.

And btw, after the Nets game tonight, Raptors play the Clipps, Spurs and Wizards before the ASB.
Could lose all 3 of them.

We might be able to enter the All Star Break with a 16 game win streak, which could lead us to getting the 3rd seed (probably not 2nd) before the break.

2/5 vs. Clippers
2/6 @ Pacers
2/8 vs. Lakers
2/11 vs. Miami
2/12 @ Bulls

I'm definitely scared of the Clippers game even though it's at home. Both of us would be playing following 2 game rests and the Clippers' frontcourt scares me.

Pacers should be an easy win.

Lakers should be an easy win.

I see us getting our revenge on the Heat for last time.

Bulls will be another tough game, though they aren't too good at home and they seem to never have an answer for Lebron, so I see us winning.

Basically, I think if we can win tomorrow against the Clippers, we'll be in a very good position.

Good to see that the Cavs are well within striking distance for the 2nd spot in the east. Would be a fine place to end up.

We win Five times as much as we lose in lbjs last thirty. 32 remaining games, that trend leaves us at 55 win or .670%..

Second place Toronto is a hair above this but have fallen off since a hot start and trending to finish lower than this. We also have picked up new pieces that should make us better than%.833.

Second place by a hair

I'm expecting that we'll end up there. We lost too many early on to catch Atlanta, most likely. But 2nd place will do just fine to start the playoffs.

We had about the 7th or 8th hardest schedule to date (and close to the hardest in the East) until our 2nd game against Philadelphia, which dragged it down from .508 or so to just under .500.

(Incidentally, Philly has usually had the hardest schedule in the east, largely by not being able to play themselves.)

I'd forget about the Hawks honestly. A 10.5 game gap is impossible to close with only 32-33 games left. We would have to win out to even have a chance. The 2nd seed is ours for the taking though.

We need the Hawks to beat the Wizards, the Rockets to beat the Bulls, and the Nets to beat the Raptors tonight. Then, we will be 4th in the east, 1 game behind the Wizards and 3 games behind the Raptors.
