LA shot 31 3's and 35 FTs.

Denver shot 24 3's and 49 FTs.

Denver shot 4 more FGAs (more offensive rebounds, less turnovers, more FTs).

So basically, Denver shot 11 more FGs that weren't 3's... rarely are there fouls on 3's, so that says something about the 14 extra FTA's for Denver, not to mention they got 11 more offensive rebounds and had 4 fewer TOs... that's potentially 15 extra shots yet they only shot 4 extra shots... so there's 11 time the Lakers fouled that were due to extra possessions from less TOs and more OREB.

In our game, we shot 78 times, 35 FTs. Magic shot just 63 times, 51 FTs. We did shoot 9 more 3's, however. Still, 51 FTs on 63 shot attempts?

Both teams played hard.

I know someone who cosigns...

Its funny that the Lakers fans on here aren't so cocky anymore. Now its just the Magic fans, haha. How the 'mighty'(used extremely loosely) have fallen.

Dude then it's a good thing he was selfish if he one the game. Your saying that he shouldn't have taking those shots and should have risked a gold medal?

Dude, don't be biased. You and i both know that him and D-Wade were the ones who took over in the 4th quarter..Kobe wasn't the only one who stepped up in the 4th quarter, D-Wade had a huge impact in the 4th quarter as well..When the team was struggling in the first half, Wade was the one who stepped up, Not Kobe, Not LeBron. Beside, D-Wade was the most consistent player on that Olympic team in all of the games..

The Refs are one thing but when you get outrebounded by 20...you're not going to win...Nuggets were just the hungrier team.

If you think the games are rigged to have a team win, please don't watch them and don't post. Just go post on some other tinfoil boards: UFOs, Lizardmen, etc. Or start a thread in the Off-Topic section.

(says the bitter man who bet on the under, only to have a 78 point 4th quarter screw-job by the damn zebras:chuckles:)

I guess that goes both ways. :chuckles:

Well see what happens but Lakers need to win 2 out of 3 with 2 of them in LA. Cavs have to win 3 straight 2 in Cleveland. I expected a better effort from the Lakers in game 4 didn't happen they looked tired out there and got out hustle to rebounds. Hopefully from my side of things that changes in game 5 and Lakers got up in the series.

All right, so if Kobe and the Lakers get most of the calls tonight I'm taking it as a good sign of the Lakers/Cavs Finals.

Anyway, if you guys need some solace just know that the Lakers' future is a lot cloudier. If they don't win this year they're in trouble.

Take a look at their financial situation: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/la_lakers.htm

Without re-signing Lamar Odom or Trevor Ariza or Shannon Brown, three of their best players this postseason, the Lakers already have $74 million committed to salaries next season. And that’s with the luxury tax threshold expected to be around $69 million next season. They have a total of $19.8 committed next season to Fisher, Luke Walton, Sasha Vujacic and Adam Morrison. Let’s say, considering how many teams are looking to shed as much money as possible, the Lakers are forced to keep all these guys they’ve got signed to bad contracts, then somehow get Lamar to take the midlevel and give Ariza and Brown a total of about $8 million next year. That would put their payroll figure at about $87 million, which means with the luxury tax included they’d be paying out $105 million total. And that’s just maintaining, not getting any better.

The Magic, on the other hand, will probably be there for a while (unless Homo Hedo gets traded). I think the East will be tough for us in years to come unless we get some spectacular trades.

So as far as conspiracy theories go, you want to see a LeBron vs. Kobe Finals? It's now or never...

^^ Wow, signing Bynum to that huge contract certainly screwed up the Lakers' cap situation. Between Bynum, Pau, and Kobe, they have $52+ million per year wrapped up over the next 2 years. In addition to that, they have $15+ million per year wrapped up in Vujabitch, Morrison, and Luke Walton.

They have no big expiring contracts next year or the year after, so they aren't going to make any major trades, and the only place they're really going to get better is if Bynum can develop and stay healthy.

I'm going to assume they either lose Odom or Ariza, that's going to hurt them a ton.

It truly is this year or not for a while for the Lakers.

If it's not legit, I don't want any part of it...
