Sean Manaea who performed poorly enough to be removed from the Giants rotation before adding a sweeper to his arsenal and finishing fairly strong just got a 2 year 28 (14/14) million dollar contract with an opt out after the 1st year with the Mets.
Bieber alone nets some goodness. However I expect we want Straw to pack his bags as well, thus diminishing the return a bit.
We'll see, but odds are he is as good as gone IMO and we'd love to ship out as much dead weight at the same time.
Seems inevitable to me Bieber and Straw will be leaving together... However they won't force Straw into a deal that completely kills it or the overall return
Packing 20 million in dead money with Shane would really depress his return.
Gards will have to eat the Straw deal. He’s a spendy roster clogger on a four year deal. Maybe if they agree to pay 75% of his remaining money someone will roster him for a year or two regardless of his non existent hitting.
