Posey signs with Hornets. PIP suicide watch is on

I'm glad Posey landed on the Hornets over the Celtics or Lakers at least.
 
I'm guessing Posey is the replacement for Bonzi,etc, but don' t they have a younger, cheaper, more athletic version already in Julian Wright(he isn't as good of a 3pt shooter though)?

Like I've said , Posey wants to stay in Boston, but, Boston has the worst deal. I don't know what New Orleans has done, but, I think we have a better deal out there than Boston. In fact I know we do. But, if New Orleans has come in with four years, then they are the best deal ...I'm guessing that is the situation.

Boston 2 yrs, Cleveland 3 yrs, New Orleans 4 yrs. ... but I'm only speculating on New Orleans ...

It turns out that the New Orleans offer was so clearly the best that he HAD to take it ..but he wanted Boston to just come to a third year, and it never came... He'll likely be a big help for them in the short term, but a liability at the tail end ... When New Orleans was being touted as a front runner they HAD to have bitten and taken the bait on the 4th year ...something noone else would have done.

In the late stages if Boston would have gone to a third year, or Cleveland went to a fourth ...he would have gone to either ..but neither budged..
 
The Hornets are tough as is and now you add Posey... They're one glaring weakness was perimeter defense from the SG/SF positions...

Posey is a perfect fit there... 4/5 of that starting lineup now should be able to defend... Posey and Paul are a lethal defensive core along the perimeter, and of course he should get plenty of wide open looks off of CP3's penetration..

Favorites in the west ??? Perhaps.. But, they could have been even without this signing..
 
And so the focus moves to ?!?!?!!

Finding the guy that will allow Lebron to not have to take that top scoring option at SG ,or SF now goes to another plan of attack ... also, finding a perimeter defender that has ability to keep oposing points from penetrating is also to be expored ...

But as this option goes by the wayside other options are looked at and explored.

I'm anxious after a few more weeks I'll be able to get back to the Cleveland area and get back in the mix .. on another note, I'm at a camop right now and have had the priveledge to wirk with a young kid that is going to be going into the 9th grade this year ..and this kid looks like the next great phenom to come down the pike ...huge talent... gives me gososebumps .. as long as I've been in the game it still an undying thrill to see these kids at such a young age that are going to be entering the pipeline ..
 
I wonder if the Cavs have interest in Josh Childress?

Yeah ..I left Vegas to come here, then I'm headiong back out tomorrow ..I'm getting ready for some time away ....I've been in gyms for about 14 days straight and everything smells like stinky feet ...

You've seen the kid play, Max ? Probably doesn't belong in this thread ..we can take it to IM or move the thread somewhere else ..

He projects now as a extra long guard in my estimation. He's been working alot on his ball handling ...but he's also starting to fill out. I measured him at 193lbs. He's a true 6'7 1/2 right now in socks. But, we'll see how his body matures ...he's got a light frame he'll never hold alot of weight to remain effective.

Reminds me of Danny Manning in many respects,...with a twist of Tracy McGrady, and Kevin Durant.
