So I'm not a Browns fan and this thread, from an outsiders perspective, this thread is stunning.

If you guys win out, its gonna be Gregg Williams.
Come on in, the water's fine

Gregggggg must be the head coach of this team for the simple fact that he kitchens and basket have gotten this team to believe in each other. Was it a tough night tonight. Absolutely, but i can tell you for a fact that what Gregg is doing should instantly qualify him to be the full time coach

I don't think I'd mess with whats working even if we don't win out. That'd be a nightmare if we go and bring in some "big time" coach and things go south.

I’d rather the Browns do due diligence before committing to the current staff. I think it’d be a huge disservice for the Browns not to seek and search for the best possible candidate.

I see it as the opposite. If you kick a field goal - which could get blocked or missed - the game rides solely on the shoulders of your defense. If your defense fails, you lose.

Going for it gives both the offense and the defense the chance to win the game. If you get the first down, you win. If you don't, you're defense still gets a chance to win you the game.

My guess is that any statistical analysis would show going for the first down gives you a much better chance of winning.
Ask and you shall receive.

I just can’t stand Williams’ defensive scheme. If he’ll hire a DC that isn’t his son I’d be more open to it, though last night brought some of his game management into serious question.

If we can get Riley that’s a definite yes no matter how we finish. I like the thought of Arians but his age concerns me. I would like John Harbaugh as well with the right set of coordinators.

Other than that, we’ll just have to wait and see who might be available at the end of the year.

This is great stuff. Is this guy a good follow for NFL in game statistical decision making?

I was thinking, if we had scored a TD a little earlier to go up 7 with less than 2 minutes left do we auto kick the extra point or go for 2? Kicking the extra point puts us up 8 and forces not only a touchdown but a successful 2 pt conversion. If you go for 2 and succeed it's a 2 score game, effectively ending the game there. If you go for 2 and fail, you are still up 7 and require a TD + successful PAT. 0% chance Denver would have gone for 2 to win the game. They'd kick the PAT and go to OT.

Love to see the math on that

I think That one basically depends on what you view as a higher likelihood event

You converting the 2 point conversion or them converting the 2 point conversion

Muddied a little bit by your belief of the chance of them missing the extra point
