The time out negating the hard count was a total choke job by Williams.

And I disagree on the FG, kicking it and forcing the Broncos to score a TD was the correct decision.

I had at least left the door open for keeping GW as head coach, tonight slammed that door shut hard for me.

I don't mind the aggressive nature of Gregg as a HC. I think it pairs well with Baker. I hate his defensive scheme but a HC rarely holds the reigns of the defensive scheme once they are the HC. He will have to hire a DC.

Agree. I'm am anything but conservative, and I have no idea what Gregg was thinking other than the possibility of demsontrating unyielding faith in his players (first, the offense to make the down, then the defense to hold the line). A risk not taking IMO. I was okay with Gregg before that play. Now I have serious questions. I prefer calculated risks, not leaps of faith.

Imagine being in a position where “striking out” on a coaching search results in either keeping a staff that has you in a playoff hunt, or a former Super Bowl coach that any other team would love to have (and would likely keep the same staff that has you in the playoff hunt).

It was not inches, it was a full yard. The refs totally fucked us on the spot but it simply was not inches. No way it was anything close to a slam dunk on a QB sneak.

I see it as the opposite. If you kick a field goal - which could get blocked or missed - the game rides solely on the shoulders of your defense. If your defense fails, you lose.

Going for it gives both the offense and the defense the chance to win the game. If you get the first down, you win. If you don't, you're defense still gets a chance to win you the game.

My guess is that any statistical analysis would show going for the first down gives you a much better chance of winning.

Yeah, you see the thing is Rich, we are all Browns fans here. And most of us religiously follow the team. So you coming in here to tell us what is going to happen right after saying you are not a fan and presumably don’t follow the team nearly as closely as we do is pretty tone deaf
