Apparently they just left when asked nicely.

The strategy is to show theyre the civil ones, as opposed to antifa.

They're the civil ones?

Folks holding a Klan rally are behaving in a civil manner?

Simply not engaging in physical violence does not entail civility.

Holding what amounts to a KKK rally, and burning torches, is an act of intimidation. Chanting "We (White People) Will Not Be Replaced" is an act of intimidation against non-Whites given what that phrase means. Chanting the Nazi slogan "Blood and Soil" is an act of intimidation against Jews, minorities and foreigners given what that phrase specifically means.

Like.. Give me a break... If you or anyone else wants to support Spencer and the neo-Nazi movement, that's fine, that's your right. But please don't insult people's intelligence by saying he and his ilk are "civil."

'their strategy is to show that they're the civil ones'.

At no point did I ever say that they were civil gouri. ever. OR say that i support Richard Spencer. i trust you didnt have ill intentions here, but please dont misquote me like that.

Got it..

I misread what you stated then, and that's on me.

But I just wanna point out that this isn't just any old Klan rally, or neo-Nazi rally that would get shrugged off. Spencer is getting massive influxes of cash, won't state where it's from, and when asked about it he just says it's from interested parties overseas.

I firmly believe that if people of conscious don't take more aggressive action to shutdown people like Spencer, that he will continue to poison the minds of the impressionable.

Looking at how this has played out in other countries like France, the UK, and yes, Ukraine; I don't see any reason we as private citizens should tolerate Spencer's antics without pushback.

Lastly, I will also say this: there is a time and place for violence. When you threaten someone, depending upon how credible that threat is; force and violence may be justified. Many of us will not take kindly, or passively, to these kinds of threats.

I have literally listened to zero of spencer. Do you have quotes readily available? afaik, the 'alt right is a space for discussion' and they dont have a unified position.

The time for violence imo is self defense, or when there is an explicit call for violence. I dont want yvette fellarca indoctrinating kids and I want her to stop punching people and siccing muscle on them (getting them stabbed), but I feel its more important to 1. play within the rules of the game, because freedom of speech is more helpful than hurtful (to expose bad ideas, and to not push down those who have these veiws out of sight. you want them visible, and because when you start subjectively deciding when someones speech justifies violence.. well ill move out of the country) and 2. not use violence, because violence begets violence.

If I was on cycle and not coming off of a battle with drugs when the berkely shit started happening, I guarantee you I would have driven up there. And that wouldnt have been good for me, or other people.

Quotes with respect to what?

Yeah, that's nonsense. The Alt-Right is a White Nationalist movement that tries to redefine what White Nationalism looks like on the surface to attract more people into the fold.

I disagree with what you're saying here because, well, it's quite obviously contradictory to the point I made above about there being a time for violence.

With that said, freedom of speech has nothing to do with this conversation; since no one is arguing that Spencer should not have the right to do what he's doing... The argument I'm presenting is that people may feel compelled, without the legal right, to violence due to feeling threatened by a deliberately threatening and purposefully intimidating organized mob.

So, if you want to be a bystander and talk about the merit of ideas, that's perfectly fine. Many others will choose to go another route; and that's totally fine by me too. As I've said many times, I am not a pacifist, and yes, I'm all for punching a Nazi in the face.

If I was on cycle and not coming off of a battle with drugs when the berkely shit started happening, I guarantee you I would have driven up there. And that wouldnt have been good for me, or other people.

You would've driven up there and done what?

A torch-wielding mob chanting racist slogans

Chanting "All White Lives Matter,"

"We're not white supremacists," protester Orry Von Dize told WVIR. "We are simply just white people that love our heritage, our culture, our European identity." :chuckle:

They also chanted "You will not replace us" and "Russia is our friend." Dozens of protesters also brought bamboo tiki torches:chuckle: to a second rally once it became dark out.

The fuck is this shit

I heard they want February back as well.

Yea, every once in a while i post a random emoji to see if it will trigger you.

Seriously i was laughing at you heading on up to the riots to squash everything.

Go rage out on some anarchists

Oh you mean the thing i didnt do? And would have been in response to your guys' supporters inflicting violence on innocent people?

Protecting innocent people deserves ridicule. You sure got me.

I think you dont really have any points to articulate, let alone good ones, so you shit post and try to arbitrarily stir up shit between members who do.

Any more huffpo racism bulletpoints to wow us with or are you gonna stick to emojis?:chuckle:

Ps: Big boys tag people in their responses, emoji tween.

yup. as others have said, these threads have been 3rd grade lunch table for way too long. actual conversation devolves into nonsubstantive shit-flinging way too often. so lets stop, and call it out when it happens so people are mindful of what theyre doing.

It doesnt benefit anyone or anything.

UC Berkeley blames violent 'black bloc' protesters for 'unprecedented invasion'

Those aren't liberals my dude.
they think they are, but thats besides the purpose. can you see how defending people (and by people I mean young women and senior citizens) getting stabbed and and their skulls fractured by people running around with bike locks, smashing them in the brains and running off is something someone would consider?

dont mean to slippery slope ya gour, but thats how you get this stuff.
