Is it the unarmed men dying by cops? This year alone, 32 have been unarmed and killed by cops. 13 white, 10 black and 8 Hispanic. That doesn't seem like they are being targeted or singled out.

People will come in and talk about proportions even though they completely ignore it when it doesn't suit them.

@MediumBaller - To be clear: in disagreeing with my post, you're disagreeing with the following principles:
  • African Americans face injustices in the United States
  • Actions that advance the country toward its ideals of equality for every man is what defines a true patriot
  • African Americans are protesting the injustices and inequality
It's a pretty telling statement via a simple disagree.

If African Americans are protesting unjustices how come there is a no-snitching code when one black man shoots another black man? When one black man steals from another black man?

Referring to me? I have done research. I understood Kaep, then he realized he was wrong and said he'd quit protesting. Now, all these new guys are doing it. None of them explain why, other than "equality". Who are they targeting to change

The new round of protests are about the right to protest more so than Kaep or any recent event other than Trump calling Kaep and folks like him a "son of a bitch." That's why you see owners and franchises supporting these new statements by players.

Now, if you understood Kaep's protest, and you understand what I just said; then you understand everything..

Wait what? How does this question make logical sense? What does one thing have to do with another?

As we learned from Max awhile ago, Kaeps protest was more about staying on a roster during the 2016 season than protesting.

Don't forget that he'd be disagreeing that it was baiting and that it was ignorant (above all else).

He doesn't have to qualify his disagree, and if you wanted to assume that him disagreeing says all you say it infers here, then you're not trying to have a honest conversation anyways, so you're not exactly encouraging any elaboration whatsoever. So...disagree is just a lot shorter than having to say all that.

It is an injustice when someone shoots another human being but there is a code of silence in black communities in these instances. No protests in regards to street rules?

What is not to understand?

I even told him why I disagree, but oh well :dunno:

Is your argument that Black people need to perfect their communities first before protesting about police brutality and criminal justice reform? Essentially, that they should be quiet until other issues are fixed first?

What is not to understand?

It's called a whataboutism these days; or more formally, a red herring fallacy.

I talk about criminal justice reform and the vital need for it; and you retort, well what about "No-Snitching Code?" The question doesn't actually pertain to the proposition; it's an entirely different tangent of thought. Yes, such a problem exists -- but what has it to do with the original proposition? Answer: nothing. So, in other words, it's intended to distract and draw attention away from the original issue, which is criminal justice reform.

Make sense?
