Chris Bosh: Sources who spent time this month with Chris Bosh on the West Coast say Bosh has decided that he will not be returning to Toronto.

That's not necessarily a shock, but the fact Bosh is not even willing to listen to Toronto's plan says volumes about where things ended in Toronto.

Raptors' sources confirmed last week they doubted Bosh returned either.

It seems both sides are at peace with the break up and are ready to move on.

Sources near the situation say Toronto is still likely going to get assets in return for Bosh and with Miami having such interest they could package a Michael Beasley in a deal and reduce Toronto's costs, while giving them a very similar player - Michael Beasley is listed as a 6-10 235 pound forward versus Chris Bosh, at 6-10 245 pounds. Bosh measured in at the NBA Draft Combine in 2003 at 6' 10.25"... Beasley at 6' 7" two years ago... without shoes. Both are face up forwards, that are offensive minded.

The Houston Rockets are said to have Bosh at the top of their board, and with so many inexpensive pieces, Houston could be interesting. The one thing Houston cannot offer is a deal that seriously reduces Toronto's luxury tax exposure, which teams under the cap like Miami, New York or Chicago can.

Bosh is truly the first major name in this free agent class to be truly available, it will be interesting to see how much interest there is league-wide in Bosh, especially when teams can start talking with him in July.

My guess at a deal: Jamison, Mo, JJ, Eyenga and future 1st for Bosh and Calderon...

Oh boy, this thread will be epic.

Time for Ferry to get creative.

It would really help if LeBron told Bosh he intends to stay...

Damn, this is our chance, If LeBron can talk to Bosh to see if he is interested. Plz Make this happen Ferry. Stop sitting our hands Ferry ;)

BOSH SAFARI!!

CHRIS COME TO CLEVELAND! WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Start up the Chris Bosh Safari.

Stop sitting on your hands, Gilbert, so you can rehire Ferry so he can stop sitting on HIS hands.

Also, "Safari" rhymed with Amar'e, so I can't see it being used for this.

Bosh Expedition? Mission: ImBoshible?

This is a good sign for the Cavs.

I don't know so much if Toronto is going to want much to do with Jamison. High dollar contract and old. Not the most attractive piece for a rebuilding team. Might have to toss something else in there to sweeten the deal, or get a third team involved.

Funny, because I literally just finished writing a Bosh post in another thread.

Really, it comes 100% down to recruiting Bosh. Chris will make the final decision. It's not up to the Raptors, it really just means that the Raptors are willing to scavenge the other team for whatever parts they can get. It's not like a regular season trade where Toronto can say "Well, it'd be great to trade you to Miami, but Cleveland's offering a better package." If Bosh doesn't wanna come here, it won't happen. If he does, it probably will.

I like mission ImBoshible because the Cavs have no chance at getting him.

If LeBron and Bosh were both on this team it would completely eliminate the need for a Mo-scoring-PG-who-sucks-at-defense and KILLS the team defense. Mo could be traded along with JJ...we could eat Hedo's contract...Calderon's contract too if need be...Ferry's got to find a way to do this.

A lineup of

Boobie
Josh Childress?
LeBron
Bosh
MLE defensive center

would get us back to playing elite team defense as well as give us plenty of scoring options. Childress could be a somewhat easy acquisition and with this lineup we could bring Antawn off the bench as a 6th man along with solid players like Jamario, Parker, Green, and possible additions from the trade or overseas like Hedo, Calderon, Kaun...

This is the dream scenario that keeps LeBron here and gets us where we need to be to contend in the postseason for years to come. This could be Ferry's biggest offseason ever if LeBron isn't already out the door.

WOW! The dominoes start falling now.. LOL

Yeah I am a homer, but I think Cleveland has a great chance to package a nice deal to Toronto.

Miami is crazy to think that Beasley is going to be a short term or a long term answer to Toronto's woes. Beasley couldn't get his act together playing next to a superstar in the beautiful Miami area. I doubt Beasley would have any drive to play in Toronto with that roster if Bosh is gone.

Wasn't Toronto high on J.J. Hickson? Man, throw Hickson and a handful of our rotational players at Toronto and see what they want to do.

C'mon Bosh! Don't go to Houston! That roster still isn't good enough to make it out of the western conference. Call LeBron and tell him you want to come here.

Make this shit happen!

Let's do this....

Houston seems like a good candidate to land him. They can offer talent like Scola, Ariza, or Brooks...and still keep a big three of Yao/Bosh/K-Mart.

If the Bulls are trying to sign LeBron outright and trade for Bosh, they'd probably offer a combo of Deng, Hinrich, and Gibson.

The Heat can give Beasley.

New York would probably offer a piece like Chandler and absorb the rest of Bosh's contract, then sign a superstar and a mid-level player.

We could offer them Hickson or Varejao, Delonte, Green, Eyenga, Gibson, Jamison...

Toronto would obviously want young talent, picks, and cap relief. A trade with Houston would be their best bet. I think Cavs could offer a decent package to rival the Heat's for second place. It's all on who the Raps value more; Beasley or Hickson? Hickson's value has risen over the course of the season and he'd be an attractive piece. It'd take a lot for us to beat out Houston.

I also think we have to buy a pick in late teens or early 20's to give to Toronto.

Toronto was very high on Eyenga last year in draft and planned to draft him in 2nd round.
