Report: Bosh decides against returning to Toronto, will seek S&T

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Now that Cleveland's back is against the ropes, I like their chances of putting together a decent package to get Bosh in a S&T.

Everybody not named LeBron James is up for grabs.

Didn't Wine and Gold once say Toronto had Eyenga on their radar? I don't think a deal of Eyenga, Hickson, Mo, for Bosh and Calderon will do the trick as other teams can offer better deals. Portland has Rudy, Batum, Bayless. Houston has Brooks, Scola, and Budinger. Dallas has the super expiring of Damp, and Beabouis. So the Safari continues......

As long as there is one team with the cap space and interest in signing Bosh (this gives him the leverage he needs to pick team for S&T) he can call the shots and orchestrate a move to Cleveland or anywhere else he wishes.

WOW! The dominoes start falling now.. LOL

Yeah I am a homer, but I think Cleveland has a great chance to package a nice deal to Toronto.

Miami is crazy to think that Beasley is going to be a short term or a long term answer to Toronto's woes. Beasley couldn't get his act together playing next to a superstar in the beautiful Miami area. I doubt Beasley would have any drive to play in Toronto with that roster if Bosh is gone.

Wasn't Toronto high on J.J. Hickson? Man, throw Hickson and a handful of our rotational players at Toronto and see what they want to do.

C'mon Bosh! Don't go to Houston! That roster still isn't good enough to make it out of the western conference. Call LeBron and tell him you want to come here.

Make this shit happen!

I thought u wanted LeBron to go ahead and leave?? :chuckles:

Not if we can get Bosh :king:

Maybe if Chris calls LeBron and tells him he wants to come to Cleveland, LeBron will wakeup and dump his "team" that is trying to brainwash him.

Just out of curiousity though, everyone around here is saying that if LeBron asked for a sign and trade to leave Cleveland that our front office should just tell LeBron to go fly a kite. So how do we know that Toronto would accomodate a S&T for Bosh?

Portland has Aldridge though, so their resources would be better suited for a PG or a SF.
Houston, sure, has some extra talent, but Brooks, Scola who is getting older, and Budinger aren't really tools to get you rebuilding. The talent that some of the other teams will mire the Raptors in mediocrity for quite sometime.

The benefits the Cavs offer largely stem from their owner. We will help the Raptors by shedding all that salary. Adding a cheap Beasley on the Raptors won't make them better than a 6th seed, and they really won't have space to improve considering Turk and Calderon will keep them over the cap for a while. Additionally, Hickson, while he may not have as much talent as Super Cool Beas, is still a nice PF to have, especially with an athletic Derozan at the SG. Although I shudder to think of the interior defense with Hickson and Bargnani...

I don't believe that for a second.....you NEVER let someone walk without getting anything in return. It was reported that Colangelo was going to work on a S%T for Bosh before the season even began.....so I believe it....and it will probably happen. The reason it didn't happen before the deadline was because Toronto was in playoff contention. After missing out on the playoffs, it doesn't take a genius to realize Bosh wants out of CANADA.

Because, knowing he wants out and isn't coming back, they either S&T and get something from his departure or just let the guy walk and end up with nothing for the trouble.

And I guess I missed what people said our FO wants, but, at this point, we don't know if LBJ is staying or leaving. If we knew he was leaving for sure with 0% of re-signing with us, then I'm sure there would be some attempt to get pieces out of a deal. But Toronto knows now that Bosh isn't making a comeback in a Raptors uni, so they're going to get some players, cash, picks, whatever for RuPaul.

I agree with you last few points. I think LeBron and Bosh will discuss this issue going forward and lets see where Bosh forces his hand. But I think Toronto is going to look to get some talent back to appease its fan base.

Only day 4 since we got eliminated and we got delonte sleeping with lebron's mom, coach most likely getting fired, Chris Bosh Safari, Lebron staying or not going, lebron calling derrick Rose.

Ok, im gunna go ahead and do it:

Do it Ferrryyyyyyyyy!

Raptors get:
Jamison, Delonte, Hickson

Cavs get:
Bosh, Turtle-Glue

Yeah, still think multiple teams are ahead of us. Unless we're willing to take Hedo and Jose, I guess.

Maybe if we had Murphy instead of bum ass old ass soft ass bitch ass wizard ass eyebrow ass Jamison, something would be possible because of the large expiring contract.

Why the hell would they want Jamison?

Plus Toronto loves white dudes. :chuckles:

JJ, Green, Murphy, Eyenga, picks could be an ok starting point.

Yes, Bosh does have some say in where he goes (basically where he doesn't want to go).

But he cant just choose any team and get it done. Just because he says "I want to go to Cleveland" doesn't mean Toronto is going to say "ok we will sign and trade you there and take on a bunch of garbage we don't want just to make you happy". They will say "good luck with that dinosaur boy, sign for the MLE then."

how about that one (i'm not sure about the numbers in sign&trades):

sign&trade shaq (one year contract, overpay him a bit otherwise he probably wouldn't want to go to toronto) + fillers (talent/pick/s) to toronto for bosh (sign&trade) + turkoglu

shaq's a nice fit next to bargnani plus the raptors would probably still sell a ton of tickets because of him and could start rebuilding after next season with a ton of cap space (shaq's expiring contract + no turkoglu)

big question is would shaq agree to be traded to the raptors?
