Report: Bosh decides against returning to Toronto, will seek S&T

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd rather get Amar'e if possible..

But I'd love to get Bosh, but the likelihood of this happening is unlikely.

Too bad LeBron doesn't take a page from Kobe Bryant's book and sign a deal as early as possible to get other players out there interested in coming to Cleveland.

Lord knows that won't happen, though..

Weren't the Raptors high on Eyenga and Hickson? I say we let them buy out the whole farm if it really comes down to it. I'd give them Delonte, JJ, Eyenga, Green, Jamison or S&T Wally, whatever it takes to make it work. Hopefully we shop Mo and get a decent defensive PG in return. I've said before that at this point, I wouldn't even mind trading Mo for Hinrich anymore, it's gotten that bad. I hated him last year for choking but forgave him as the regular season went on, but I loathe him even more now. There's no going back, this dude has got to go.

Give me an inconsistent Beasley over these two hoes.
Beasley > Jamison + J.J.

Talks in Toronto have been going on about either Gasol or Bynum + someone for Bosh. Bynum is locked up long term and that gives the Raptors some confidence and length.

Yes, Bosh does have some say in where he goes (basically where he doesn't want to go).

But he cant just choose any team and get it done. Just because he says "I want to go to Cleveland" doesn't mean Toronto is going to say "ok we will sign and trade you there and take on a bunch of garbage we don't want just to make you happy". They will say "good luck with that dinosaur boy, sign for the MLE then."

As long as Bosh picks out two teams, one with cap space and without, he has most of the leverage. For example, he can tell Toronto, "I want to play in Cleveland so get an S&T deal done. If you don't, I'll just sign outright with Miami." Then it comes down to a simple equation for Toronto: lose Bosh for NOTHING or at least get some pieces back.

Yeah, that would figure. LA trades Bynum + bunch of scrubs for Bosh...

Kobe
Bosh
Gasol
Artest
any PG

<shakes head> Some teams (LA, BOS) can fall into a pile of shit and come up smelling like roses. Other teams (CLE) can fall into a bed of roses and come up with nothing but thorns.

True. But we don't know how they view our players.

They could be thinking let Bosh go for nothing or take on a bunch of unwanted garbage while losing Bosh.

I am sure they would want JJ, but would they also want to take on the salary they would have to take on to make contracts match up (Jamison).

That's probably the best deal they'll find. It's pretty fair, certainly better than anything we could offer.

I'm guessing it would be Bynum and not Gasol.

Chris Bosh just doesn't seem like an LA kind of guy though.

Out of all the big FAs this summer Bosh seems the most down to earth, humble, get business done on the court and go home kind of guy.

I really think if he had to share the spotlight he would rather do it with LeBron in Cleveland rather than being part of the media circus in LA with Kobe.

Name ideas?

I couldn't see a trio of Kobe, Bosh, and Gasol working out. Gasol has already complained about shots and touches. Those will both go down with Bosh coming in.

If I am LA, I keep this team the way it is. You know the team that has made the Finals 3 straight times (assuming they beat the Suns).

IF they really want Bosh though, I would trade Gasol instead of Bynum for him. This is assuming they really do have the choice of choosing which one they want to trade.

Bosh and Gasol both need touches and are both soft big men.

Bosh and Bynum compliment each other very well IMO. One is a finesse jump shooter, pick and pop type guy, the other is a defender, rebounder, shot blocker, banger type player.

Bosh would love to get back to Texas, just an FYI to keep in mind.
