why does POR want all this talent...what would they do with vc? off the bench? start the 4?

I think the Blazers would be more interested in the Nets trade package to be honest. To get VC and CDR would be amazing! I think they might bite at that offer, and leave RJ to us.

Please NJ do us a favor and accept Portland's offer. You get cap space(darn it) to sign that guy you wish to get but you never will.

Man, that would awesome if RJ came here. The only thing is we still need a big and Joe Smith wont get bought out. Maybe we could use the TE for Amundosn.

One can hope. I just wish they'd do something with Raef soon so Wally could become the biggest trading chip in the league.

FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY! FERRY!

Wow. Even if nothing goes down, you can't say Ferry isn't trying. In the past week, I have heard the Cavs linked to:

Amare, R-Jeff, Shaq, Gerald Wallace, Josh Howard, Caron Butler, Marcus Camby, Ron Artest.... We should all be thankful we have a great GM.

If VC goes to Portland, RJ is all ours.

I like it.

The one thing that i like about RJ better than VC is that RJ has been to the finals before and he played with a bigger talent with Jason Kidd. Well that was actually 2 things but its okay lol... At least we know that RJ has what it takes to get to the finals and he has some experience.

I'd LOVE Jefferson but we just can't afford to go for a swingman right now. The Lakers and Celtics' frontlines will ABUSE us. We need a powerful big man. We need Camby, or hey if somehow Amare becomes available again.

But excluding our frontcourt problem, Jefferson would be huge.

G-Wall? J-Ho? Artest? When???

Well, Camby is very likely to stay a Clipper...

if Jefferson is the best player available..and Camby isn't an option...I'll take Jefferson all-day.

and oddly enough, our first game after the deadline is friday against Milwaukee...

That'd be a interesting scenario.

Umm... Weren't Carter and Jefferson and Kidd on that same team?

Thats my point... none of carter's teams have ever gone to the Finals so why would we want him? He hasn't taken a team to the finals. Not saying that RJ carried that team to the finals (because we all know J-Kidd was the leader) but, he knows what it takes to win and wouldn't mind taking a back seat to LeBron.

I dont want Jefferson he sucks at the 2 from what NJN fans say.

Amare
Butler
Camby
Kaman
Carter
Jefferson

thats my list and Porland wants Carter or Jefferson because SF is the biggest hole they have.

Keep in mind, as W&G has pointed out on numerous occasions, if we land a swing man like RJ who can actually play some defense, that would make Lebron much much much more versatile defensively to pick up some of the smaller 4s in the league.

If we add RJ, Lebron covers Odom... or Powe or the other backup Boston 4s who sometimes give us trouble.

Andy/Ben should do relatively well covering the likes of Gasol/Garnett... it's the other guys like Odom who have worried me, as we saw against the Lakers last time. Pau and Garnett will get theirs, no matter who is matched up on them. AV/Ben will do as good of a job as anyone.

Lebron basically assumes Wally's role in the small ball lineup (defensively) if we add a guy like RJ. It's clearly an upgrade. I'd rather have RJ/Lebron on 3s/4s than Lebron/Wally on 3s/4s because RJ>Wally defensively.

Don't underestimate the value of adding a guy like RJ in all aspects. He is an upgrade across the board. RJ is a very aggressive offensive player who gets to the rim and foul line a ton, which is another thing that will help our offense (as opposed to Wally who is only a 3pt threat).

Well i take it Ferry found another fall back option since Miller is gone.
