I take some grief on the board from certain members because I'll comment on players regardless of whether I've actually watched them all that much; but as we can see individual opinions no matter how respected are often dead wrong. I take a different approach of rather than drawing my conclusions from watching game tape and highlights, I analyze what I read about a player and look for things that seem well supported or make sense to me. If I start to see a pattern, I'll speak up.
So anyway, there's my obligatory pat on the back; but what I'm even more proud of in this thread was the fact I stuck up for "Hibbert's Dad" who went out of his way to provide us with a detailed, well thought out post in support of Roy.
Try not to squash dissenting opinions even though you may strongly disagree with what your reading. Even if you don't want to re-consider your preconceptions, others of us do.
