Bauer pitched great after his rough start--still allowed three runs, even though he struck out 14 and got 10 straight outs via the strikeout. Not blasting him (I've never waivered from thinking he's a borderline #2, good #3 pitcher right now)--just keeping it in perspective. This game made me miss the Pyro K meter.
I'm glad it's Shaw's last year with us. I know his regular season numbers. I know the number of innings he's chewed up for us over the years. I appreciate it--but he just doesn't have the talent. He should command enough on the open market to get signed elsewhere.
Nice to see the bats come alive. Edwin's single into left was a nice change of pace for him.
