Series #21 Dodgers Vs. Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Great take.

2 games back, 100 to go.

But everything isn't fine, this is a major problem, yada yada yada...

People should be very upset.
Can we discuss what the team can do in the next three weeks to start trending in the right direction? I would

A. Play Zimmer almost everyday and Chiz most of the time
B. Have a serious talk (Tito) with our hitting coach and ask why guys are having such horrible approaches to the plate and swinging at so many bad pitches.
C. Lindor (needs to be working on making adjustments, he is too good to be struggling this long.)
D. Santana seems like he is mentally on vacation (one his free agent year) someone may want to remind him what is at stake.
E. Bat Ramirez higher in the order.
F. Hopefully we are doing our best job to locate another pitcher before the tread deadline.

The fans assume they would dominate, to anyone rational this is just the nature of the game.

Come on, dude. Tone down the condescension for a minute. Tito recently admitted that he's had more meetings about this team in the past couple weeks than overall the past couple years. While the season isn't even at the halfway point, this team has greatly underachieved to this point.

Ok, serious question for you then. This team wants to win a ring which means they will need to beat great teams on the way. If they win this dogshit division by a pube, you're excited about their chances to win the World Series?

I get it. Anything can happen in the playoffs. I mean, is that what we want to hang our hats on? Or would we rather us be a legitimately great team going into October? You tell me.

I couldn't give less of a shit how they win the division.

You get to October, you have the same shot as anyone else.

You tell me, will you give a shit about a mid-June series against the Dodgers when the first pitch is delivered for the ALDS?

Did you give a shit that the Cavs weren't the number 1 seed or the losses which prevented them from doing so?

If you do, but all means keep doing what you do. But more easily defined, people are too reactionary by what they're seeing and lead it to ridiculous conclusions.

Like saying the team is ass when they're out 2 games with 100 to go.

Asking boobie to tone down condescension is like asking KD to tone down his bitchassedness. It just isn't in his DNA.

Anyone who doesn't like the direction the Indians are going automatically doesn't know anything about baseball, is "dumb" (his words not mine), and not worthy of anything but said condescending, sarcastic posts. I actually thought everything was fine and said as much, until probably June. Now I'm legitimately worried. That said, I don't think the team "sucks," but they are in trouble. Instead of discussing what is wrong with the team, or what they can do, boobie would rather just tell people they're dumb. "Great take," as he says.

Nothing a 14 game win streak can't solve, but the odds of that are low with the level of consistency we're seeing. That said, it's not like the season is close to over. But expecting people not to discuss how the team is playing- and NOBODY can deny they aren't playing very well- is just asinine, on a sports forum. Anyone who can't handle fans of a team being concerned when they have WS aspirations and are .500 in mid June, might as well just leave the forums.

Nobody is arguing that, by the way.

But saying the team is dogshit, ass, etc. if pretty fucking pathetic.

Fuck it, I don't even know why I bother...

We all know the team isn't actually ass.

They are just playing like ass.

Where they are placed in the division is not indicative of how they are playing. In some divisions, the Indians would be in second to last place and what would you be saying then? We watch the games, believe it or not...and the level of play we see, is not good.

But you're right, there is plenty of time. Expecting it not to be discussed, however, is absurd. Your Cavs analogy is horrible by the way. The Cavs still finished second in their conference, have LeBron James, and are coming off a ring- we all have known LeBron James teams don't give a fuck about the regular season.

Dude, nobody actually thinks that. :chuckle: It's a schtick like you said. If you find it annoying, sorry. What else is there to do? Talk about the team's average level of play? We aren't allowed to do that, according to you.

Which divisions?

They've only struggled with the National League thus far, so I guess maybe there if you're buying into small sample size?

They're 30-23 against non-NL teams.

If my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle...I don't need to play what if or pretend their play would be exactly the same if they played a different schedule. That's nonsensical.

Nobody is doing that man, it's all just shtick.

Like I said, it's not really worth the time here.

Dude, they can't beat Kansas City... :chuckle: Stop it.

But really, okay, so their record might be better if they played in a tougher division...I guess...? I just don't buy the "make the playoffs and everybody has equal chance" thing. At all. But your opinions make total sense if that is actually what you believe. If I thought that every playoff team was equal and had an equal chance to win the WS, I probably would only be concerned with their divisional placement, too, rather than their level of play.

I can only speak for myself, and I don't think the team blows. I wouldn't be mad if I thought they blew, because they'd be overperforming in that case. As it is, they are drastically underperforming, which is frustrating.

I'm sorry it has made the forum unenjoyable for you. I will no longer make silly "Team sucks" posts, in your honor.

Lol omg they can't beat Kansas City lol

They're 4-2 against the AL Central leader though.

They're 5-1 vs Houston, they're 3-0 vs Texas, 5-2 vs. Sea/Oak

Fuck, man...it's the nature of the game. You don't play the same in June as you do in October.

You glossed over my question of whether or not their play in this series matters if they make the playoffs, and of course you know it's because it doesn't.

Why did you only reply to the Kansas City statement. Wait, I know why.

I said I will no longer partake in the schtick, is this not enough for you?!

In all seriousness lets see what happens today and over these next 12 games as 7 of them are against the Twinkies. Tribe can really F themselves or put themselves in a great position for the second half...

Team is playing like smelly shit coming out of a dog's ass.

We're just the flies surrounding it right now. I guess you can say we're eaters of the shit since we continuously watch it because A. We love them to hate them. B. We know they're not truly dogshit. C. They can only go up (which brings hope)
