I don't necessarily disagree with anything he said about Magic. Don't get me wrong, Sterling is the scum of the earth, and I want him out of the NBA as much as anybody, but this whole thing just screams of Magic scheming behind all of this, and the majority of the population (casual fans) will never pick up on it or realize it due to the media and their agenda.

Can anyone explain to me the role of Shelly Sterling in all this fiasco ? Reports are coming that the NBA wants her also to sell her share of the team. Why ? I thought she was estranged and that she is not with Donald Sterling any more.

You really believe that Magic Johnson set the wheels in motion to plan to have Sterling recorded saying blatantly racist things?

Rather than some huge media conspiracy that only a few "truth see-ers" realize, it just seems way more likely that this idiot Sterling imploded on himself, brought Magic into and now Magic wants to see Sterling lose, like anyone else with sense does.

What difference does it make if they are estranged or not if they are still married and share ownership of the team?

"Under the NBA Constitution, if a controlling owner's interest is terminated by a 3/4 vote, all other team owners' interests are automatically terminated as well. It doesn't matter whether the owners are related as is the case here. These are the rules to which all NBA owners agreed to as a condition of owning their team."

Nothing can really be proven right now. But everything is entirely too convenient for it all to be a coincidence imo. I saw a headline today reading "LeBron: urgency to remove Sterling needed." Of course that could just be LeBron speaking out as a leader, but it certainly doesn't hurt the Clippers conspiracy theories.

He had no reason to get involved in the first place. I understand Magic was involved in the picture with his girlfriend, but that doesn't explain why Magic has been so thoroughly thrust into the spotlight of this entire fiasco.

Like I said, nothing can really be proven right now. I guess we'll see who the real winners are once the dust settles and this entire thing is behind us...

Bill Simmons has this thing called the Tyson Zone. The point at which a celebrity's behavior becomes so insane, that there is literally nothing they could do that would any longer shock or surprise you, or indeed any human being. He may need to rename it the Sterling zone. Each day that passes this thing gets more out there. This thing has conspiracy theories already. It wouldn't surprise me if it comes out tomorrow that Sterling claims to have a sex tape of Stiviano and Magic.

Estranged or not, they really can't let her keep half of the team while she's married to him.

She only owns half of the team because he bought the team and they are married and live in a community property state. If they made him sell his half and let her keep her half while they are still married, doesn't he then own a quarter of the team for the same reason she now owns half?

So you're saying we should think of Magic Johnson, a man who contracted HIV by having sex with multiple partners while he had a girlfriend who became pregnant, as a role model?

I'm not sure why anyone would find either to be a role model.
